I'm not poor but my family, my wife and three daughters, we do have to watch our accounts to make sure we aren't making any mistakes. We don't have excess money for playing around.

After I sold my businesses I found the chasing of more money pointless as I had more than I needed to be happy.

I suggest putting $4M into investments that return a good amount to live on and use the other $1M to find something you really enjoy doing.

You must not be aware of the fact that different regions have different cost of living. I also live near a major concentration of nursing schools, which drives our pay down.
