Is trade school to become a plumber/electrician worth it in cucknada?

And if so, how much math do you need to know before you go into trade school? I failed out of highschool, but I want to be able to make something of my life, even if I'm not that smart

Only if you know somebody in the field. Otherwise no one takes apprentices because theres no advantage to taking that risk.

Attempt to get in through the apprenticeship intake in any of the IBEW locals

Nope, I don't
Oh well, i guess I will just hang myself and be done with it
I have no idea why I was brought into this world

Stop feeling sorry for yourself and improve

RIP user you probably wont be missed

All trades have the potential to pay more or less the same at similar levels. What matters is who you work for.

t. Machinist

You should change professions

Stop fucking around and become a welder.

Why? I like my job. Sometimes it's almost fulfilling.

its the only thing worth anything in this god forsaken land, but seriously find someone to apprentice under before going to school.

Welding's nice to know how to do but I'd never want it to be my only trick. Shit's too dirty and labor-intensive.

And how do I find that my fellow leafer?

good take your family with you.

Electrician is where its at.

How dare you threaten my family
I'll trace your ip and exact vengeance for your sinful act

>carpenter
>plumber
Pick one, do said apprenticeship and put in the effort. Listen to your mentors and work hard. Then reap the benefits later in life.

Just join the military and get your training for free

It's cucknadia.. Yeah man; trades are fine at least you can hang around with real people.

Exactly this. I'm an electrician and it is very hard for apprentices to get their foot in the door, there is just so much red tape. But this is in Quebec I hear it's a bit easier in other provinces.

Also you need to pass a math test here to get accepted and do more advance trigonometry then in high school.

>Calling normies "people"

trades are the best you can hope to achieve in Cucknadia without an exceptional education (you'd be in America in that case) or connections / being born into money

is that before or after you hang yourself? Anyway, I thought canada is socialist? In Poland you just go to labor office and ask around for available courses. You can become a welder, machinist, driver, etc, all for free. Then, with that experience, people aren't afraid to take you for apprenticeship.

Anyway, I've heard in murrica you need drivers. I would say it's a good gig for at least the next 15 years before automatons take over. You don't need apprenticeship for that, just licenses. It's mundane job, but some like it and it's better than nothing. Also the pay is really good.

you could drive for let's say 5 years, get to know people and in the meanwhile look around for some trades to learn

i dont know how shit works up there but in the states you can apply at a union, entrance exam that consists of algebra and reading comprehension, and if you pass you get called back for an interview. if all goes well they will bring you in as an apprentice. i guess you can call them or send smoke signals or whatever it is you do up there and ask

Do highschool equivalents test. You gotta have grade 12 math.
