Why are American veterans so pathetic?

Why are American "veterans", barely since most of them have never seen real war, so desperate for attention and free items.
Every time i go out i see them literally begging like hobos for "muh military discount". When they store kindly informs them that they can't get free stuff for murdering people, they spaz out about "saving the country". How absolutely pathetic is that?
Also, if they're not doing that, they're just walking around waiting for people to thank them for their service. I mean i know you have to be a low IQ meathead to join the army anyways, but why are they so lacking in shame or dignity?
Can any Americans explain?

Usually in peace time military is made of ultimate losers from society, they join simply because they couldn't find any other job, have to sell their body to Israel.

Some of them haven't seen combat, but a lot of the ones who have have experienced serious shit. They're at a much higher risk for PTSD, traumatic injuries, depression, and other problems. They're more likely to be homeless or poor upon return as well.

They're fucking jokes. There's one of those "I'm afraid of fireworks" guys who lives across the way from me. Every 4th me and my buddies go down to the edge of my property and shoot off our AR15s.

I couldn't agree more, it;s just amazing to me how everyday people just drink it up. Especially when they're quick to point out those same flaws in other people
