It's definitely gotten worse. Two of my friends have become complete raging SJWs and they used to hate niggers with a passion and not care about normie shit. One went to California and the other another liberal city nearby. They have both become massive liberals and it's unbearable. They have infected people with the idea that if you aren't like them then you don't belong. Many people are social butterflies and desire and crave human attention and liberalism caters to that by shunning all the non believers. There is undeniably a divide going on in the world right now and it continues to get worse. It has happened in the past but those usually resulted in wars, now it is just building.
I remember when the NPC meme originated from a shitty psychology study with a tiny sample of college students that don't engage in inner monologue. Now it is just used as the biggest "NO U" argument. I would say things have gotten much worse.

It's absolutely depressing. I'm seeing more and more friends turning into NPCs that are spouting "Orange man bad" shit and it feels like I can't go anywhere without stepping on these things.
