Did you actually read Atlas Shrugged? If not, I would highly recommend it. Part of the reason why the strike in the book worked, is that the geniuses, the talented, the hard-working, all those people who Galt convinced to strike had a place to go to start over. They could give up everything they had and let the world burn because they had a refuge where they could continue applying themselves and their talents - Galt's Gulch. And it was after the collapse of civilization that they emerged from this refuge to rebuild the world.

yeah, that's fine, but if we were in control of our own logistics going on strike would be a much more attractive plan. We don't control our resources currently, however. Media blackouts would be good because it is palpable to other groups, and we unplug from the Hebrew for a while. It's win-win.

That's not the way Atlas Shrugged meant a strike. It's living in a minimalist way as to pay the least income tax as possible, and if possible drain the government of its current money.

I work 25 hours a week, for my own business which means that most of my income is tax free for renting my company my car to do about 400 kms per week and I am back at school to learn a trade for when the collapse (day of the rake) happens.

I work in an office that is 80 percent women. Women getting paid anywhere from 40-120k per year to sit in 2 hour long meetings about holiday events and who is bringing what cookie. I did the math on a meeting I sat in on once. It was a 1.5 hour meeting on parking spaces. Two parking spaces. There were at least 15 people in that room, meaning they managed to waste about 6-700 dollars in hourly pay alone to establish going to home depot to get some concrete and buckets for signs. They just talk about nothing for the first 15 minutes and go down a list of shit like "checking in" on office safety. I think they spend about 3 out of every 8 hours doing this, then an hour for lunch and a wind down hour before going home. They actually work about three hours per day.
