Any advice for someone dealing with anorexia? I'm in treatment but it's hard to make the voice in my head go away.

Eat something.
Eat a Snickers; you'll feel better.
I can't bring myself to eat out of fear of gaining weight.
start lifting weights
gotta eat big to get big
it goes to your muscles not fat
follow a plan
I don't want to gain muscle mass either.
calculate your tdee and according to it
if you don't want to help yourself then nothing will help
You have to start small by eating snacks throughout the day, then you can gradually increase to meals. Those voices in your head are your own negative thoughts that will go away if you change your mindset (hard, ik) but it will be so worth it once you realize you are so much more than skinny and that you don't have to worry about starvation or malnutrition. I believe in u!
Just because I know I have a problem and want to fix it doesn't mean I can just immediately start eating healthy.
Thank you. It's really hard but I'm going to try. I've almost been put in the hospital twice.
you're just seeking attention because hurr look at my medical condition, my life is so hard :((((((((((
stop malingering
Who hurt you?
The way I switched from junk food to healthier food was gradually replacing things like chips with foods like baby carrots. In addition to it being better for you, you can scoop some hummus onto them for a nice treat.
Anyway, best of luck to you, OP. Make sure to get a little cardio in every day, even if it's just walking
Your body/brain is dumb. Men don't like skeletons. Eat something. I'll go out with a million chubby girls before I go out with a skeleton.
While this is sound advice ideally, and the easiest to follow, if your health is in serious jeopardy (depending on how severe your anorexia is) you may have to eat considerably more than that. You can also try to find calorie dense foods that aren't as filling to make it easier for you to eat more of them, or make smoothies or so on so you can drink a portion of your calories. Above any advice you get here though, follow advice from your doctor first and foremost. They'll know exactly how urgent it is for you to start eating more and if you can do it these ways safely or not.
.
You can also look at this and other websites like it in conjunction with therapy. Even though it won't make the thoughts go away you can try to remind yourself they're irrational as specifically and why.

Good luck user!
This is the best advice so far. You know what you're talking about. Thank you so much.
Completely ignore your brain and trust into objective stuff like

And BMI (body mass index).
Meditate, it will let you detach from your thoughts
Eventually you will stop seeing the voice in your head as a part of you, but rather a reflexive pattern of mind that is based on past experiences and not your present reality
skinny=schizophrenia
fat=autism
what i got from this thread
>voice in my head
Pretty sure you have an entirety different problem all together
You'remaking a good start by recognizing the anorexia as something not-you thagt you have to fight. Keep thinking of the voice in your head as someone you can stand up to and argue with
we know. do it anyways.
your brain is starving and you can't think properly because your brain is literally digesting itself when you fail to eat.
And stay in treatment.
You've got it tough, but you can do it.
