Start each day at a time you think is early and dont look at any electric screens for at least an hour. Then decide what you want to do with your day

>7-8 hours of sleep
>awake at roughly same time
>avoid lengthy naps
>no electronic devices, masturbating, brooding in bed
>proceed quickly to activity after awakening

>shave or groom your beard everyday
>shower, floss, brush, wash your face, comb your hair
>take pleasure in the ritual of cleaning--most mammals do
>get a haircut every 2 months or so, or if you have long hair, use products
>wash your clothes after 1-2 uses (don't forget bedsheets)
>spend a quick 5-10 minutes tidying your space every day, don't forgot overlooked areas/tasks like dusting, airing out the room, cleaning the bathroom

>if you have a gf
big IF
have responsible and non-excessive sex with her
>eliminate pornography to your best ability
>at the very least, limit it to certain parameters: 1-2 times per week, women only, no fetishes, better pics than vids
>relieve yourself without being unsanitary (in the bathroom vs in pants in socks)
>use condoms, don't be promiscuous; if you're gay or have other issues, consider therapy and exercise respectable discretion

>you are what you eat
>avoid fad diets
>eat MORE fruit and LESS meat than you think you need
>if it's sugary, processed, high-sodium, etc it's junk. don't eat it unless for special occasions
>make a budget and a meal plan--stick to it
>drink water. all day, every day. tea and some juice is okay.
>cut out coffee and alcohol. if you're dependent, limit to 1-3 per day, and you can still survive.

Attached: 0938450jgoijeorituert.png (680x564, 671K)

>exercise every day. even if you have zero motivation, 10 pushups and 10 situps is more than most lazy people do
>set realistic and specific fitness goals, and project 1, 3, 5 etc months out
>don't forget to stretch

Attached: pjdfg809345ojkdfg.jpg (631x252, 29K)

>find a religion or a philosophy
>read texts and try to fellowship with similar people
>devote time to meditate/practice mindfulness each day (better if you do this as "lights out" 20 mins before bed)

Attached: asdoifjoasidjw0er80w9er.jpg (800x518, 63K)

>find hobbies besides lurking/posting here
>diversify your current hobbies
>with new hobbies, find 1 that can be done alone, and 1 that can be done with others
>take advantage of hobbyist sites and clubs. other people usually enjoy teaching about their interests

>read print material everyday if you can
>be selective about what you consume--avoid obvious garbage
>dedicate time to learning about "the classics" of media, and try to understand/articulate why they are classics, even if you don't like them

Attached: 0982093842ojosdkjfsdf.jpg (1002x798, 158K)

>if you already have a job, take some comfort even if it sucks. enjoy your paycheck and reflect on ways to improve/jump ship to another job
>if you're NEET, go outside. volunteering is better than nothing, and helps with resume gaps
>if you have daily freetime on here, you have daily freetime to job search. spend and hour or two in uninterrupted job applications. go to job fairs, temp agencies, etc.
>if you're autistic/depressed, get help. treat it like you would another injury that requires medical attention.
>get outside perspective on "blind spots" that might be keeping you from bettering yourself

Attached: 204982039480sdfojsodf.jpg (634x286, 38K)

>take whatever job you can get
>save your money
>stick to a budget, consolidate, combine accounts, sell your junk, use coupons
>being thrifty is a good thing, don't be a mindless aimless consumer with no attention to your personal finances.

Attached: 0980934809534.jpg (850x400, 27K)

>socialize with people, and don't give up after 1 try
>use boards, forums, and chatrooms if you must
>reconnect with old friends, write/call family members
>maximize the time you spend with less-obnoxious people while in public
>consider dating sites, if you're so inclined

>go to Jow Forums, arm yourself
>if you value your safety/comfort, you should be prepared to defend it
>buy what you can, dictated by local law and personal finances (and your mental state, honestly)
>don't be too proud to acquire non-lethal weaponry--knives, blunt weapons, tasers, and pepper spray are better than nothing

Attached: 340598304953453434dfg.jpg (438x438, 57K)

>get out of your comfort zone
>Don't use being alone as an excuse to not do something
>Go to local events
>Plan on making day trips out of town on your days off

I just finished my first week at my first job, I had my great work ethic going and frankly I barely realized it was Friday at the end of the week and was completely ready to get up the next day and do my thing. (for reference, blue collar job)

I want to get into a hobby of mine even more (just scratched surface so far) and build my own business from it, making my own tools because they’re simple but only expensive variants are on supplier stores so I was gonna make one today.
I woke up and my mom stocked the fridge with mostly junk foods (despite being a health nut) and I gotta say I felt like shit all day, basically no will to get anything done and the fact I got no energy from my food doesn’t help either.
Tomorrow I’m gonna get up at a decent time (overslept an hour today) and try to get my day going better than today, slow but steady progress atleast!

I hope you all are doing well btw.

How about a transformation to the best of my knowledge?

10-15 Years Old
>Barely bathed
>Had little to no friends
>Universally hated
>Bowl cut, baggy clothes, poor hygiene
>Shit social skills
>Stayed inside all day and played video games

Me now (18 years old)
>Shower everyday, wash my face atleast 2 times throughout the day
>Small group of friends
>Only hated by people who never give/gave me a chance
>Decent social skills if the conversation is right
>Better haircut
>clothes that look good on me
>Haven't used my computer for vidya in a week
>Work out, not fat anymore and slowly becoming otter mode

Honestly, I just need to figure women out and I'm set. Probably because I'm uggo

This has to be the stupidest advice ever. Almost everyone's days start with an alarm clock waking them up, such an alarm is usually on the cellphone so the first thing you look at is a screen.

>Buy a clock.
Yeah, spend money on shit you don't need just so you can follow meme advice, great idea.

>don't be a pedantic bitch

Attached: army you have.jpg (3840x2160, 1.16M)

Are you really so naive as to think that engaging with different types of media doesn't effect your mental state?

Also, if you go to a thrift shop, a used clock is like, one dollar.

Notice how I've said nothing about the rest of the advice of the thread? That's because that's (mostly) good advice but I have to protect my fellow anons from shitty advice that will actively worsen their situation if followed. It would be harmful to do something stupid and meaningless as "no screens" and think it's somehow good for you.

Also fuck deciding one hour after waking up what to do with your day, you should plan your day in advance, maybe not up to the exact hour but at least you should know what you want to do with your day before you wake up, otherwise why the fuck are you even waking up for?

After shutting off the alarm clock first thing I do is to play some music so that's yet another screen because I don't have a dedicated music system, I play music on my PC. I make breakfast while sipping my homemade capuccino, that's right I make a cappuccino for myself every single morning because I don't spend an hour being retarded trying to look away from the evil screens. One our after getting up I am getting out of my house and I'm on the way to my job.

you’re visibly sad and poorly dressed. stop blaming your genetics for everything.

You're not ugly. You look like a normal dude to me. I'm a guy but my advice on improving your appearance would be to grow out your hair a little bit. Just long enough to style. Also it's hard to tell from the picture, but your shirt looks a little big. I also used to wear clothes that were a little too big until my first gf in college let me know and took me doing. Clothes should fit your form without being skin tight. There's some wiggle room for personal taste though. For example I would never wear skinny jeans, even if they technically fit.

Looking at a screen for 30 seconds in the morning won't hurt. Turn off your alarm, get your music going and enjoy the morning. His advice was for people who wake up and immediately get on Facebook/Jow Forums/news sites/video games.
Have a nice breakfast, go for a walk, make your bed, iron your clothes (if applicable). Just get yourself squared away and prepared for the day ahead.

I've got a lot going on right now. It used to be worse but I'm just going through some shit

I'm growing it out, pic related was what it used to look like

Way better. The shirt fits too. What's your main problem with getting with girls?

They just all seem disinterested. Not to mention, I don't have a lot to say since I'm pretty reserved and my hobbies consist of hiking, lifting, guns, and vehicles.

>I don't have a lot to say
here's a secret: unless you're in the top 20% in looks, talent, intelligence, fame, etc....girls won't go out of their way to talk to guys. if you don't talk to them, they won't talk to you.
if you go around super aloof and brooding, they'll return your apparent disinterest.

>Seem disinterested
Worry about facts, not impressions. If you're not sure if they're interested, ask them out anyway. Be direct about it. Don't hover around her for months waiting for the perfect moment. If you meet a girl and like her, just ask her out. Don't try to engineer the perfect situation or play the long game. She'll be glad you're confident enough to make your intentions clear, and even if she says no, she could change her mind after she gets to know you better (unlikely but possible). If you're sending out signals that you're basing your self esteem on her acceptance, you will not fare well.
Read "Models" by Mark Manson. It's got a lot of good advice on how confidence plays into meeting women. And it's not pick-up artist garbage either.

Important advice, maybe THE most important advice:

>Don't try to do all this shit at once. Most people get burned out and can't stick to it. Get ONE aspect of your life under control at a time. Whether that's weight, hobby, whatever. Obviously do some triage and fix what's worst first.

>most importantly, get a small/medium dog - you'll be forced out of your house every day.
>You can't fall back into bad habits again because you have someone depending on you.
>you'll feel good about taking care of someone and you can attend doggo training and meet people.
>rescue a dog from a shelter and you won't feel like ever bringing it back there.

Thanks

Lol triggered ur ass. Besides i dont always follow particular rules, i just meant in general, less electric bs in the morning usually means more production, but i guess thats not everyone haha

So what literally everything except red meats and bread?

You're not ugly at all.

>Figure women out
good luck with that

self improvement junkie ?
maybe a lifer with no real career goals and too much time on hand.
simple 3 ? money, health, relationships
don't waste of time reading self improvement products. usually you don't even achieve your 5 years goals.

I have been doing one for a month. I started off running one day and then lifting weights the next day followed by a rest day. I have now eliminated the rest day and am going to start on the mental health segment of my plan. I am going to try and spend more time in nature, meditate, reconnect with some old friends and start experimenting with new cooking recipes.

The running also helps with my hygiene since I now take showers and shave every other day instead of twice a week.

How do I make myself get out of bed in the morning?

Put alarm clock on the other side of the room with a shotglass of hot sauce beside it. When the alarm goes off you get out of bed, cross the room and then do your shot. Guarantee you will not be going back to sleep any time soon.

Gentlemen, I created a long thread on self-improvement at Jow Forums. It recevied mixed reactions, there, of course. Perhaps you will be more able to appreciate it.
