Im a 20 yr old californian and I dont want to live with my parents anymore but I dont make enough money to rent my own apt because I can only get jobs in retail and I dont have the energy to work full time. I could survive w/o my parents for a while because I have 14k in savings but I dont want to throw that money away on landlords.
So what should I do, move to another state, live inside an suv or both.?
As a fucking Leaf, California sounds like a nightmare. Expensive, low-opportunity and high-risk. Move someplace you know work abounds or you know you can secure work.
Parker Allen
I dont know of such place

>I dont have the energy to work full time Until you fix this, you should stay at home.
Unless, you move in with more than 2 people to reduce overall living costs.
Honestly, without a full time job (or at least a full time job income), you will fail.
Anthony Peterson
Do your research, America is a huge fucking country with a lot of cities and towns, surely at least one such place will have opportunity Also, roommates aren't a bad idea, but remember to keep people you trust. It'll be shit terrible otherwise, or it was in my experience.
Grayson Wright
Im weak and get tired too easily, I dont think I can fix this

I think moving to arizona or new mexico might be a good but im still undecided

Either that's a medical thing which may come with disability benefits or you're a pussy and have to harden up. You have no skills beyond customer service and can't put in a full day's work. If there was a way to live comfortably without working full time, people would do that. There isn't, which is why it's called "full time".
Dylan Cook
I'm not sure where you think you're going move and maintain a decent life style only working part time. Stop being lazy.
Elijah Cruz
Then acquire skills so you can make more money in less time. Or you could join the military, they provide housing so you wouldn't have to live with your parents or worry about rent.
Cameron Martinez
CA user here. You cannot live independently in this state without earning at least $30/hr. If you're skill less, then that's your problem. This State really is fucked in terms of affordable housing. Too many Chinks and rich transplants are buying up all the properties here and creating shortage, thereby driving up the market.
Unless you can think of a quick way to land yourself a $30 job in this State, then it's time to think about relocating like an earlier poster advised you to. I have half a mind to do so myself. Virtually all of the Southwest states are way cheaper in terms of cost of living. Arizona in particular has cheap rents. You can get a one bed there for $600 and their minimum wage is like 12 an hr. Basically even a Walmart or Starbucks employee can afford a place there without roommates. You will have to deal with 100F weather. But life is all about compromises and making do with bad situations.
Owen Jackson
all i heard was im a lazy fuck and want to leave my parents house with minimal effort.
>>get a damn job no one LIKES woking. given the choice we would all like to be on perminent holiday but the world would stop turning if that happened.
Nolan Campbell
how much do you currently make a month?
Josiah James
if you arent willing to work full time you don't deserve to live on your own
Ryan Phillips
1200 per month

My feet get really numb if I work full time

AZ has low cost of living. Don't know about the job situations out there. Midwest is same story, and I can think of about half a dozen places hiring right now. 14k is just over what I spend on living expenses here each year here in MN counting rent car various bills food etc. What kind of work are you looking for?
Thomas Wood
>I can only get jobs in retail and I dont have the energy to work full time
Then it looks like you'll need to sacrifice some freedom. Can't have your cake and eat it too.
Andrew Perez
>I dont have the energy to work full time. people these days disgust me. What the fuck are you, an ALS patient?
Joshua Price
Ever been diagnosed with a medical condition for that? I've had similar problems all my life, and it was because of sciatica and herniated disc
Brayden Clark
Get a desk job. Or get orthotics.
Ethan Sanchez
With 14k, this is what my plan would be.
First, sell everything you own maybe with the exception of your car and move to someplace either in the midwest or southwest like other posters have said.
Then, do an airbnb for the first little while until you can get steady employment. Save cash like your life depends on it.
Finally, when you've got about a year of employment under your belt, buy a cheap 4plex. Live in one unit and rent out the other units. Now, you have two income streams. Rise and repeat.

Hey altleast im not govermrnt assistance Best advice so far

>No skills, only work retail >Don't have the "energy" (drive) to work full time

>Lazy
Again, GFY. I'm currently on a US Army field training exercise in the middle of fucking nowhere, still having taxes taken out of my check and I'm asking you not to use that for fucking welfare.
Evan Mitchell
Jesus Christ you are fucking weak. Your feet get numb when your work week hits 40 hours?
Brayden Brooks
Get cancer, you're sapping your parents wealth like a little leach. Although I guess they failed to raise a decent kid. Anyway im outta here because I'm no longer convinced this isn't bait.
