Votes in Alberta is a small fraction. Again, they need the permission of all the other provinces and territories. It's non-negotiable. Then, it'd need to go through the House of Commons. THEN they'd need to amend our constitution, which would take a few years with the way our government goes. This thread should be on /x/

It's fucking magical that some Albertan's still think this. It's Ontario > Quebec > Alberta. The issue lies that Ontario is inflated by dependency on the USA and is functionally an extension of their manufacturing base both geographically and metaphorically. Quebec has a far more sustainable economy, but as you said they fuck everyone else over with their gibmedat blackmail. Meanwhile Alberta relies on incredibly shitty quality "oil" that gets sold to the USA and then the useful bits get bought back at a markup.
