IDK dude, I don't support terrorism, but after everything that has happened and speaking as someone who has actually paid attention to the various advances in technology that are legit happening every day now.....it's hard NOT to see his point of view and what he was trying to accomplish.....or prevent.

He's in Florence super max. His room, like all the others, is the size of a tiny bathroom. Everything is built in, toilet, bed, desk. He's in solitary 23 hours a day. He gets one hour to walk in a circle in a room with a sky light. He can't see a tree, a plant, the clouds, or another human being who isn't the CO. He can receive some mail, but it's all inspected and read, and the prison has the authority to withhold anything for any reason. He can shower a few times a week. They're fed "nutraloaf", which is basically onions flour, burnt eggs, sugar, and salt Peter. It tastes like rotten burnt eggs mixed with rotting tofu. They don't get TV, internet, anything like that (most murderers and other lifers in max security can buy radios, tvs, ramen noodles, a hot pot, etc.) I'm not sure, but I don't think they even get cushions for their beds. It's a concrete slab. Super Max is hellish. Not even serial killers get sent there. It's for terrorists, political prisoners, and convicted traitors. Like that CIA agent who sold secrets to the Soviet Union. He gave up 200 American spies and Russian defectors for $150,000. They all were executed.
Anyway, Ted's critique of industrial society is pretty good. I don't really agree, but it's thought provoking and well written. His choice to send bombs to random college professors is beyond any excuse or rationalization. No excuse for killing innocent people.
Supermax is the only and last threat for prisoners already serving multiple life sentences. These gang leaders in for life occasionally kill guards, judges, lawyers, and their innocent families. From what I learned about the American prison system, most people would prefer the chance being frequently raped/stabbed than be kept in solitary. I might be wrong, but most testimonies have prisoners saying they would prefer death to that, which is why solitary confinement is often padded and heavily monitored to keep the inmate from killing themselves.

I recall nutraloaf was for problematic prisoners. ADX gets nothing from that kind of torment when they can cook up cheap shit easily since everything is under utter control there.

The escape shit I was referring to is for people that consistently escaped from other prisons. They send you to the max if you pull that shit and keep getting apprehended again.

No one can escape from ADX, profile or not. As far as I know no one has escaped from modern super max, ADX in particular.
