Apparently there is something called (Lineman Electrician), the work is hard, but the training is about 15 weeks, and the minimum salary is about 55k-60k, and most end up making 100k plus per year, with only 15 weeks worth of training. 200k+ in California

Because of the amount of people graduating with degrees the market is becoming over saturated with college degrees, devaluing their worth. There is also a gap in the graduation rates between men and women, with women's graduation rates increasing and men's decreasing. College is a racketeering scam and it might take another decade or two but the lid is about to blow off it. The primary purpose of college should be to educate, but people are focused on the degree. Instead of learning and developing critical thinking they receive their Marxist brainwashing and often graduate dumber than they went in.

No I did all those things, but I quit the field becase I was simply unhappy. I almost became suicidal, and after working in 4-5 different jobs with 97 IQ females, H1b dogs, and niggers I knew that this was not going to work. The work of my colleagues was so pathetic, my job was too easy, and they would not let me do the advanced work I was more than ready for. Skill, intelligence, and general merit means nothing, and rather it was all based on vapid artificial factors such as small talk and obedience.

I literally took Jow Forums‘s advice 4 years ago: PICK AN IN-DEMAND MAJOR.

I should have done something I actually liked and could work for myself with or dropped out. Now I have to recreate myself and figure out my life. At least the accounting skills will be handy when starting a business. Not worth 30k though.

I've talked my way out of requirements before. My advisor to nix any of them, he just had to sign off on it. One removed a humanities course for me, and one removed what was essentially a measurement course (which he taught), as I was already familiar with some of the content.

I personally know multiple lineman working for the big power companies making, STARTING out, $90,000 USD annual and easily make $110,000 to $120,000 USD annually with overtime in their first year. $200k and up is possible as you move up in the field.

This is in California, but the high pay holds strong pretty much across the US.

Of course, being a lineman is hard, dangerous work that require brains and brawn. Thus, it is 90pct White Men doing it.

I'd have to disagree there. High school blew smoke up my ass with my writing - it was super flowery with almost no substance, but I got As every time. College came along and forced me to be more concise or else get shit grades.

Wouldn't ever major in English but the writing classes really did help - in the end, that's way more useful to the layman than calculus. I was a CS major and math minor - my math classes were good for developing logic skills, but I haven't touched anything from them since.

English does come in handy for improving formal communication, and should be taught alongside Law and other humanities degrees, Calculus is more useless than English.

I knew all the pre-reqs for my accounting degree before I even registered. When going through college you need to be SMART about it. To avoid bullshit classes that have high failure rates I sat down and looked at the course catalog to see which classes would satisfy the requirements. If you are going into a non-STEM major and wind up taking GPA sinkers like psychology, physics, chemistry, or some other advanced class you are STUPID!

My accounting degree required two science classes, one with a lab. Know what my two science classes were? Biology and environmental science, both of which I took in high school and passed easily at my community college. Math was a bit trickier, I needed to take calculus - both pre-calc and calc I skirted by with a final grade in the low 70s.

Lots of people at my school, albeit which is small, either have jobs lined up in public/private or are going the masters route and getting their CPA license out of the way. I’m doing the latter, in a few years I’ll be raking in the cash (six figs).

If you think about it, the pass rate doesn't matter. Most first year courses are large lecture halls with huge class sizes. They're usually done by one instructor and multiple labs run that are run by other students. Much cheaper to do than the specialized courses which require smaller sizes or more specialized equipment etc.

Add in the other nickel and dime expenses found in first year, the money made from anybody living on campus or using the facilities, buying books, supplies, signing up for credits cards and insurance often facilitated by the university and you have a pretty lucrative business plan.

Don't blame the schools for this. The culprit is the government. In order to be eligible for FAFSA they require that you take certain courses. That's all it is. Why? Because they're making money on you. The school is making money on you too. Everybody is screwing you so you go tens of thousands of dollars into debt which you cannot discharge in bankruptcy.

Everything we're a part of is in the name of "bigger" business. Just like big business here on Earth, there are humongous "companies" (some in the form of entire species) that expand across the universe who work for even larger "companies" that expand into different dimensions. The whole structure is in the form of a pyramid where the very few at the top have it successful while everyone towards the bottom are struggling to get to the top. This structure is present throughout existence and it can even be said that this structure is the foundation of our universe. This structure is what religion labels as "Satan".

As for us, we're just a product manufactured by some company for some client(s)/customer(s). But just like all products within our world, this product (us) is not 100% satisfactory so big changes are underway to improve the product, or just disband it all together. I'm hoping for the latter.

the key is reduced pool of competition. start at high school with grants available to your school or county. Never do national stuff its a complete waste of time. in college, scour through every available state and county grant and apply for them even if you don't meet the requirement. often times they overlook that shit since there is no real way to check. Again, avoid national shit its a waste of time.

Either way, I was getting paid 3k a semester (5k my first semester) as a white guy with all my tuition/rent/ paid off.
