I gotta get out of Florida

I gotta get out of Florida.

Any advice on moving to other states?

Don't.

Don't move to California or Hawaii, too expensive
Stay away from the south coast or NC, SC because of hurricanes

Texas might be ok, lots of jobs in Austin and Dallas
I'm in VA, which is pretty good too

Or, if you have enough cash, move someplace really cheap and retire. That should be your end game move.

I’ve always wanted to be a cowboy

I would ride ya...

VA is just okay, its cost of living is all over the place and commonwealth laws are a double-edged sword. The large military presence, especially in SoVa, makes things really uneven.

Aw yeah dude

>Texas might be ok, lots of jobs in Austin and Dallas

Coming from someone who lived in San Antonio for about a year and a half (and coming from someone who was born an raised in Florida) I can vouch for Texas 1000%.

Like this user also said, please god don't go to California.

I live near the coast but the COL seems ok here. What do you mean by "uneven"?

California here, don't move here unless you like not having money and want the government to fuck up everything

Californian here, don't move here. You will regret it.

west coast fag here, may I ask what's wrong with NC?

>I'm in VA

NoVA?

What’s wrong with Florida? I was thinking of moving there

Say it ain't so...

Check out Atlanta. It is close to you and pretty fucking awesome.

Move to Iowa. Sure, you'll be forced to rape pigs and farm corn for years on end, but at best you could become mayor of such a beautiful city like the one in the image shown

Lol I feel the same way. I plan to head to Washington in 5-7 years.

Born Hollywood and lived in SoCal all my life. It doesn't feel home anymore. This guy has it on the money.

Same, the only people who live in California are tech snobs and Faggots

What's wrong with Florida? It has some of the nicest and least stuck up people I've encountered, and I say this as an African American despite Florida being one of the latest states to adapt to civil rights changes.

If you dont have allergies think about Kentucky.
Amazing people other than the ones near or in the cities. Especially Louisville.
If you can find a place anywhere but there you'll actually enjoy your neighbors. Pretty wild I know.

I moved from FL to NC and I really like it. I'm in Raleigh. Nice folks, good food, plenty to do, cost of living isn't bad. No complaints, really, except the dating pool is really skewed liberal.

>Old people everywhere, always wrecks on the road and ambulances driving around because of them, complete idiot drivers
>Hot, always, and usually humid, too
>Some parts have tons of bugs, both gnats flying around and roaches invading your home
>If you're near the beach, salt corrodes your car faster
>Tolls on many roads, especially near Orlando
>High insurance costs, have to pay for hurricane add-ons
>Hurricanes
>Guidos and ultra-slutty girls

That said, there's good food near the beaches, and there's no state tax, so that's something.

I live in Portland, OR now but I grew up in Melbourne/Satellite Beach FL. I actually just visited my family a couple weeks ago for four days in satellite beach. I miss it, and as someone who has been everywhere in Florida, I have to say that I think Satellite Beach is the best city one Florida. VERY low-key and laid back, not too populated, and beautiful place overall. Where do you live in Florida, if I may ask?

I should also say that it WAS good for me to move away and to live on my own, away from home. But when I retire, I 100% plan on moving back to Sat Beach

Eh I can deal with that, I'm in OR, it's either a liberal cunt or nothing some are more bearable than others though.

>>Hot, always, and usually humid, too
I'm in Palm Coast and rarely experience this. Yeah, it gets hot, but never that humid. If you want humid, try visiting Savannah, Georgia.

This.
Not a day goes by when I don't see at least one or two ambulances barreling down the road. Also if you drive literally 10 minutes away from the ocean you'll be in-over-your-head in red neck fucks.

Also this place has the worst education system in the country last I checked. No way I'd ever raise kids here with these druggie schools.

You're gonna get shitty education in any American public school.

I've been to Florida once and it was nice. Quiet, almost felt empty, a relaxing place. I'm in Maryland, about 45 minutes from DC and its alright up here. Not too much crime as long as you stay away from Baltimore city, otherwise, its not bad. I might actually move to Florida one of these days. What the trouble down there?

Nope, CoVa. NoVa is almost as crazy as CA, cost-wise. I wanted to cut my living expenses when I moved out of CA so it wouldn't have made sense to move there. Truth be told, I could cut my expenses even further by moving again, but my wife didn't want any of the choices I came up with, so VA beach was chosen.

It's not that NC is awful, but stay away from the coast because hurricanes, like I said.

it depends on what reason you want to leave.
if you want to leave because of the shit weather all the time and the hot temperatures then go north. Avoid SC, GA, And NC, Especially SC since I lived there for years and it was shit. Nothing exciting there and it gets hot as fuck during the summer, followed by thunderstorms nearly every day.

Texas is nice though they too occasionally get hit by hurricanes. As most anons say Virginia can be good too. If you want to go further north, avoid Ohio. I heard it was completely shitty. Michigan may be nice, just don't go to detroit, it's a fucking wasteland there. If going west coast, don't go to CA. Oregon may be a nice spot for you.

I like this about Florida too, but if you can't drive, you're going to be miserable here. And then if you CAN drive, you might be miserable or even dead because so many people are shitty drivers in Florida.

My mom had a near-perfect track record for 40 years as a driver (only issue being accidentally parking by a hydrant once). Once she came to Florida, she got into 5 accidents, all from other people hitting her car. 3 of the accidents were from one year.

One of the accidents was with the rental car she got while her car was in repair from another accident. Someone crashed into it while it was parked and she was in the doctor's office.
