How about no?
How can you stand living in a soulless concrete commieblock?

District 17, just shoot me if this ever comes to us.

Pretty comfy desu.

I just LARP I'm playing Half-Life 2 Episode 3 24/7
Isaac Mitchell
except in US only broke niggers are willing to live in the 'projects'
also Im pretty sure you don't have construction booming - like it would be with free market and real estate prices rising
Josiah Mitchell
This actually looks pretty comfy desu, makes me wanna live there.
I've seen the commieblocks in Hungary and they were hideous compared to these lovely pieces of architecture. :^)
Jacob Murphy
IMHO, it's too high. The better kinds here have like 10-12 floors and use a combination of reinforced concrete for the bearing walls and bricks for the outer wall.
Luis Foster
In Novosibirsk, Russia this luxury studio can be yours for only $6000
Wyatt Martinez
I feel you
Daniel Bennett
Holy fuck, *laughs in cities*, I have a family sized chalet with 4 rooms, pool and garden, meanwhile, in city, for the same price you can afford a one room hovel, 6th floor without lift
Logan Moore
We should build more commie blocks. There's no reason why not.
We must create megacities and everyone gets the same amount of squares based on if you're living alone or with a spouse plus kids.
Christian Morales
Nothing's too high, what are you talking about?
Nicholas Collins
post pics of where you live pls
Adrian Gutierrez
Do you realize what happens when you put niggers in it?
Chase Walker
>tfw westerners want this in their countries
it's like the memes write themselves up at this point. yeah nah, after a life of living in concrete Bucharest, I'd rather not have any other commie blocks, thank you very much.
Parker Cook
In Spain we had one of those 10 years ago...
Each year was constructed more buildings than in France, Germany and Italy together.
But the greed fucked up everything, any poor piece of shit came into a expensive mortgage, and when the bubble burst and unemployment rate reach 25% a lot of people and couldn't pay his installments and get evicted...
~500 evictions daily for 6-8 years. But ffs, they deserve it for living above his possibilities
Mason Davis
You don't put them in houses, you hang them on trees.
Nicholas Perry
Juan Richardson
That actually looks pretty fucking cool to me.
Camden Hernandez
>too high
what happened to you nu-USSR?
Juan Peterson
Commieblock countries don't care if you share your state mandated hovel with a bear.
Asher Davis
Ceausescu destroyed 1/4 of the entire city (and the most important part, historic-wise) in order to build that boulevard and the People's Palace at the end of it. pic related is old Bucharest, before it got the taste of commie in its system.
Jason Perry
and that's how we got from this ...
Levi Long

>We should build more commie blocks.
we should nuke more "people" like you.
Brayden Sullivan
Because we have no other choice, burger. The average wage here is 700 buck. And don't get me started on the minimum wage. Also, before you call us wagecucks, let me also tell you that starting a business here pretty much means suicide.

>soulless concrete commieblock?
commieblock neighborhoods (i.e. kvartovi) create a great sense of community though. all of them have schools, playgrounds, shops, businesses, recreation facilities nearby.
living in a house gives you more privacy but it beats having to get into a car every time you need to buy a loaf of bread or want to have a beer with the mates and such
Samuel Ward
>How can you stand living in a soulless concrete commieblock?
I dunno. It's fine, you make your apartment as pretty as you want.
Anthony Wood
looks good to me to be desu
Jackson Johnson
note how the commie blocks completely block the view to the old, bourgeoisie houses that represented the old system. That was done in purpose and not just near this area, but all across Bucharest. Entire historic boulevards completely rerouted or destroyed, countless of houses remodeled and overtly simplified etc (same thing happened all across the Balkan area). And just to add insult to the irony, the commies left us some unfinished megalomaniac projects that were built on our own history and people, just for the lulz. Same as with the People's Palace, the maintenance required for such buildings is immense, which makes them unwanted by anyone.
They sit there as a constant reminder. Pic very much related
Jose Butler
i prefer my old Bucharest, but you can't argue with taste
Hudson Cruz
i die inside a little everyday
Angel Wright
I'm not sure you understand America. We literally get into the car to go visit our neighbors. For instance the mail carrier accidentally left my neighbors letter in my box, I jumped into my SUV and drove it across the two way street into my neighbors driveway. It was also a frigid 50° out so that was after I let my SUV idle for about a half hour to warm up. I'm not sitting on cold leather.....

it's not as if the post-communist life was better by any chance. neo-capitalism in the balkan area created monsters that rivaled with the commies.

The US already tried this, they were called projects. They didn't work out too well.
Jackson Carter
I wouldn't mind living in these if everyone that lived around me was Slav stereotypes

Tyler Walker
Jonathan Diaz
to be honest it's not like the communists went around tearing apart beautiful buildings to build these brutalist monstrosities. could be wrong but I'll wager that the Post office was destroyed during WW2 and was rebuilt like that.
if anything they probably did a lot to (unintentionally) preserve many of the old buildings and residences by handing them out to party members
Robert Moore
HOly shit no they fucking don't you literal RETARD. Commieblocks were invented to destroy communities, which they do, people don't even know who their nearest flat neighbour is.
Oliver Thompson
After buying my own house and having tons of extra space, that thing looks like my worst nightmare to live in.
Lucas Morris
Remove red tape; remove central banks and fractional reserve banking; problem solved.
Grayson Morales
jesus christ. to be fair i underrated architecture in romania a lot, bucharest seems a lot better than belgrade in that regard. i'm pretty libertarian, but stuff that you have no choice but to see like architecture should be strictly regulated.
that was usually a excuse. it was damaged as far as ik, but ww2 destruction is a cassus beli for destructing traditional architecture primarily.
Josiah Wilson
commie blocks are shit, but we need to start building apartments if millions of pedros are going to start pouring in.
Parker Thomas
>millions
>only pedros
Oh expect many more Tyrones and Shaniquas to follow
Luis Scott
these hurt to look at
Justin Ward
tyrones are actually decreasing in america, less than wypipo are but still decreasing
Nathan Parker
I understand Nihei's phobia now
Ryan Howard
They just need some rehabilitation (caниpaнe).
Joseph Bailey
>but ww2 destruction is a cassus beli for destructing traditional architecture primarily.
I don't think the local commies were as ideologically committed to the cause. otherwise they'd all live in Tito's commieblocks instead of old Jewish and Austrian manors. maybe the likes of Causescu were ideologists but all the local ones were champagne communists, starting with Tito himself
Adam Smith
Why do you insist on having unnecessary space you don't use and unnecessary lawn you have to mow for no other reason than having it.
People don't need all that space.
Especially you, you need more whip.
Josiah Bennett
blacks just get abortions, or let the poor fuckers fend for themselves. Kind of sad but illegals are more of a problem then ghetto blacks that stay in ghettos.
Ian Hall
it depends on the country you're taking about. In Romania, we had soviet troops that occupied our country till the mid 50s - during that time, they looted and destroyed as much as they could, mainly because Romania had to pay "war reparations" to the USSR, which meant that everything valuable that we had had to be sent to Moscow. Important buildings and mansions were destroyed because they represented the image of the past, of the bourgeois element that had to be completely eradicated from the face of the earth. Pic related is such an example, the old Ministry of Foreign Affairs, partially damaged in the war, completely destroyed by the commies because it was too "beautiful and artful".
The preservationist movement started after the commie occupation ended and the Romanian commie leaders decided to distance themselves from the USSR, as the population was heavily anti-russian even in the 50s and 60s. That's why Ceausescu came along, who was an avid opponent of the USSR and who allied himself with the Chinese Comintern - and laughable as it his, Ceausescu prospered as long as he employed a nationalistic anti-russian rhetoric, often inspired from a lot of iron guard sympathizers that would later on join the Romanian communist party.
we still have a couple of good areas, but the most important ones were destroyed in the 80s when the People's Palace was built. The construction eliminated the oldest part of the historic city (that had buildings from the 1600s) and it also destroyed the only hill that was inhabitable in the city, essentially turning it almost completely flat afterwards.
Nonetheless, in the next earthquake most of this city will fall down to the ground. More than 400 historic buildings are classified as "red", which means they will fall if a 7.0 hits us. Visit us while you still can, not joking.
Adam Brown
Oh wait for the Nigerian doctors to hit the Queen.
Parker White
>In Romania, we had soviet troops that occupied
forgot about that. makes sense the Russians wouldn't give a fuck about destroying other people's cities and heritage (and would actively work on it).
Christian Reed
I wouldn't mind living in a commie block if they weren't run down shitholes and everyone living there was white.
It would have to have well designed fire suppression and escape systems though.
Thomas Stewart
depends on the case i suppose, but i can guarantee you if chetniks won, under evil capitalism most of these buildings would be restored.
suburbia is redpilled and just needs more parks and stuff like that. if you can't play music loud or have to watch how loud you fuck your gf/wife, you can't say you have decent housing.
Jayden Jenkins
25 floors. Too high. Unless you live in Moscow. But then fuck you.
Jaxson King
Nope.
4 years on the zoning board to get approved
2 years for a traffic and environmental study
2 years to make sure the building is to spec
Another year if there's some grave site of a long lost tribe no one remembers
I've seen shit like this take over 10 years before finally breaking ground. It's insanity. The solution is to remove all zoning laws and remove most regulations and just get building. We have buildings built 100 years ago that are still standing. It's fine. If they break, we simply tear it down and rebuild like the good ole days. You've got a problem with it? Then go off yourself traitor. We must build for our survival and way of life.
Leo Campbell
If you manage fashist take over it Will become usefull.

if only, this modernist trend is now spreading all across the city. Developers actually buy old historic houses, then they let them rot and be occupied by gippos illegally, just so that the house will degrade faster. When the time comes, they evacuate the gippos, they declare the house in a "bad condition", then they demolish everything except the facade, which they are obligated to keep in the new structure because the original building had historic value. Rinse and repeat
out of 400+, only about 30-40 are currently being restructured and reinforced by the authorities. Due to our stupid justice system, the authorities cannot force the owners of the houses/apartments to recondition their places, and most of the owners are old fucks on social welfare so they honesty don't care about it or they just rent like any other sane person. Sadly, I'm honestly inclining to believe that the authorities are investors are waiting for that earthquake to come - it's the easy way out, and you get a shit tone of space to sell off and build something new on, at a lower price than reconditioning these old historic buildings.
Such a sad thing, to be honest.
Jack Russell
Fuck that, I'd rather get an RV and travel across the country.
Christopher Cox
That's actually reasonable. Humans are social animals, they need proximity like air to live.
Camden Peterson
when the next 7.0 hits (and believe me, it will in the next few years), everything in this picture will most likely be leveled to the ground.

deport the mexicans. Less demand or housing will lead to a natural drop in prices.
Luke Smith
how the fuck do people do grocery shopping living so far up in places like that? it takes 2-3 rounds of going back to my car for all my groceries but it's fine since i have a house and the car is 5 feet away. they must be living on a bag of rice or some shit.

Angel Nguyen
This. I travel a lot and I've never seen so much high-density new construction as in the last decade, but it's been accelerating for a few years. Every city is exploding with over-development of condos, apartments, and townhomes in the suburbs right now. Even the single family homes are on lots so small that they might as well have no yard at all.
This hasn't affected rent prices at all, but it has created housing for the nigger, chink, poo, mudslime, and spic invasion. None of the new development is for Americans. It's all for the turd world.
Brayden Cox
Why don’t we just build 20 story buildings with this kind of architecture? I wouldn’t mind apartment blocks if they looked nice, but it’s like they deliberately make them as ugly as possible.
Aiden Sanders
Great! I will Five of them, tear down the walls and live like as king!
Aaron Adams
got you fampai, not 20 but 10-12 story buildings in pic related. The buildings are still standing to this day, albeit they are classified as "red" danger, which means they will most likely fall in the next earthquake. Almost 100 years old, nonetheless
