Mere Christianity was a disappointment. Compared to his more academic books like “The Discarded Image” this felt extremely dumbed down. He also doesn’t make any arguments that would convince an unbeliever- all the pages he spends on trying to prove god are wasted. The best parts are where he just focuses on living the Christian life, such as the chapters on marriage and love.
