What actually happened is that the guy was in some working class bar and got chatting to this group of guys, one of whom was black. At some point during the night he told them he was into crossdressing. Later in the night, after leaving the bar, the group of guys jumped him and kicked the shit out of him, one of them jumping on his head, they then left him for dead and fled the scene.
Funnily enough, it was the black guy of the group who got caught and ratted out the others.
