Take into account that Vegas has fewer bars, clubs, strip clubs, and dungeons than most other large cities like NYC, Chicago, LA, and Miami.

Las Vegas is pretty awesome on the west side. Stay away from the east as well as the city of North Las Vegas. Stay west of Tropicana and Rainbow in general, and you're good.

To be honest, I thoroughly enjoy bringing my friends and family through the strip and seeing shows. But we all stay away from gambling and excessive drinking. It can be a very good time. Plus I know all the back roads and where to park. It's low maintenance and fun to people watch from Cabo Wabo or Mon Ami Gabi (may now be Hexx).

It's really a nice place on the west side. People keep to themselves mostly unless you are in a secure gated and guarded place where people are pretty normal. There are many fun things for locals to do.

This might be impressive to anybody who has never been to Vegas given that anyone who's even so much as looked at a map of Vegas knows the city is almost entirely on a grid.

I used to work on the strip and don't mind it at all. You just need to know the roads, where to park, the best places, and have a sense of humor when people watching.

I live in Las Vegas. It's good dude. I wouldn't call it a Mecca of Debauchery. Cunts treat it like that when they come here.

There's a lot of fun things to do that don't involve fucked up things. I really enjoy Vegas. If you don't have self control or if you are an impulsive human then you will have a hard time living here. Most people blame the city, but it's not the cities fault you went and cashed your check and gambled it. Or nobody made you call a fucking escort and cheat on your wife. It's you assholes that don't live here, you come here and act like pieces of shit.

I work off Dean Martin Dr so I'm like 3 minutes from Aria and regularly schedule limo drivers to use this entrance.

I use my company placard to park anywhere when friends and senpai visit, ever since the casinos started charging for parking haha

North west is good. It's too far out for me, but it's good. You just have to say away from North Las Vegas, which is shit.
Work it. It's nuts that they refuse to allow locals to park free. We tend to valley regardless. Unfortunately tourists are easily bamboozled into paying out the ass for stuff they shouldn't bother with.

Vegas has few ghettos. Most places on the east side are shitty to live. Ghetto's are mostly mixed with blacks, mexicans, and white trash. The west side is pretty much nice from North to South: summerlin, lakes, and Centennial Hills. I guess some parts of Henderson are nice.

Vegas is not on a grid. The 95 and Rancho run diagonal through the city. 215 goes around the city. Summerlin is a mess of roads with shit ton of roundabouts and dead ends. I've never been in a city where tons road stops and then starts again in another location... See Harmon Ave.

I don't have my CCW yet unfortunately. While I aspire to obtain it eventually, I don't feel any imminent danger on the west side near Tropicana and Rainbow. Besides, I literally order everything I need to my door aside from vet visits and my own medical needs.

Been there twice for Defcon the hackers conference, it's a like a giant playground for adults, it's not like any other city lacks any of these activities, it's just they're all done bigger and better in Vegas.

Despite all of the adult entertainment it's run really well, everywhere is kept clean, you don't see any crime or problems on the strip, it's super chill. Any other city where you go to do this stuff you always have the idiots that get pissed and cause trouble but there's none of that, everyone is having a good time and behaving themselves.

I actually want to go back, I'll probably try and make Defcon again next year.

Crime can find you. I'm in SLC, live in a good area, and maintain situational awareness when out. I carry one of my pistols always. Have been targeted by a bad guy twice in past 6-7 years in different parking lots at night. Moving my hand to my concealed weapon, without drawing, caused the bad guy to lose interest fast and avoid me. Let them choose a different person as their next victim.

There are many that allow tourists and locals by different fees. But there is a nice place in the south east desert where you can shoot whatever you want without payment. It's nice to go into the desert and shoot whatever you please.

There are video cameras everywhere these days, plus people recording shit on their phones, even many criminals have someone you may not see recording a robbery for shits and giggles. You get mugged/robbed while carrying concealed without a CCW and claim you were open carrying, you'll face hell when a surveillance tape or phone video pops up showing you were carrying illegally.

There are some, but its not as bad as other cities. Try Denver. Vegas is one of the simplest cities I've ever been in to drive. MOST roads will take you to the other side of the city, though some will arbitrarily end and then pick up 2 miles down.

It's a small Seecamp. Had a "wallet" type holster made so the tiny pistol is holstered, but one side of the holster has a rectangular stiff part so it doesn't print as a gun holster but as a wallet in my back pocket. It's my go-to spring-summer carry with shorts and a t-shirt. An IWB carry with my other pistols would be impossible with a t-shirt (tucked in). Ballistics on .32ACP and 380ACP are very, very close. But I also have a .380ACP.
