Would you work 12 hours per day and 4 days per week?
Would you work 12 hours per day and 4 days per week?
No that’s almost 50 hours and more than what my full time job currently demands.
I would consider 4 ten hour days.
Oops meant to say 10 hours
Anyone who prefers a 10 hour work shift 4 days over 8/5 or thinks because of equal work time the efficiency is equal as well has never worked 8 hours before.
It sucks ass. Plus eventually after you start to get exhausted during those long shifts you're gonna Fuck something up that will cause you overtime and next thing you know you're working 70+ hours a week or more.
It's gay
if i worked 4 days and got paid the same as working 5 they'd get more work out of me.
12 hours for 7 days straight and then you get 7 days off.
Best schedule ever
No, but I'd do a 4/10 which would be a normal 40 hour compressed work week. I've been asking for just that very thing for years now.
Depends on the job, honestly.
Efficiency goes down as time being at work goes on.
There is no point in working when it is inefficient.
agree, this is a good rhythm so you can recharge instead of being continually exhausted
I would do 4 & 10 or 3 & 13 for sure though.
I know factory worker who actually work these exact shifts. Fucks up their sleep patterns.
Trust this man. He understands wörk.
I work 7 12 hour days in the span of 2 weeks. One week I work 3 days then the next I work 4. Then it reverts back to the first week. It has it's advantages like being off as frequently as I work. And I earn 8 hours OT on every pay check just by working my scheduled days. The disadvantages include that on work days I barely have time to relax before I have to go to bed and do it all again and that dreaded 36 hour straight stint every other weekend.
Worked for a Jap owned company once where all the Japanase managers are in the office 12 hours per day. Turns out they are incredibly unproductive and sleeping half the time.
Ive had a job where I worked 36 hours and got paid for 40 and the next week Id work 44 hours.
Was kinda cool.
Ever heard of rolling 18's?
Most of you likely havent
6 hours a day, 6 days a week.
Absolutely Jewish. Shalom.
Yes if i got wednesday off
>Worked for a Jap owned company once where all the Japanase managers are in the office 12 hours per day. Turns out they are incredibly unproductive and sleeping half the time.
Only 12 hours? The managers in the "home org " do 15-16. But they are so sleepy and make lots of mistakes so it's useless to talk to them in the evening anyway.
3-4 day week should be all.
what happened to robots taking over and freeing us from having to work at all?
2 days 8-14 then 2 days 14-22, 2 days 22-6 and 4 days of freedom. The only based work shift
I worked 4 on/4 days off. 12 hour shifts. It was the best 3 years of my life.
I already do work 4x 10 hour days.
3 days, 12 hours
1 day off
3 days, 12 hours
7 days off
repeat
that's my schedule
that would only be 2 hours more a day for me. and yes
I already do.
No. I wanted to go from a 8.30-5 to 8.00-3 with reduced lunch.
One of the Japs told me he felt guilty not working enough. Meanwhile the average western European felt no guilt going home at 5 even though he hasn't done anything productive since lunch break.
Pretty sure the only people actually working hard at that company were minimum wage Poles.
I currently work 12 hours per day 5 days per week.
So, couldn't hurt
>I would consider 4 ten hour days.
Not worth it. There will always be an excuse to make you come in on Friday "just this once"
I do 9 hours a day, 5 days a week. Wouldn't recommend. Ideal would be 6 hours a day, or do 7 days on, 7 off 10 hours a day.
This is my body which was broken for you. Do this as often as you eat of it in remembrance of me.
I already do this 6 days a week.
>government employees working more than private
>doubt.jpg
Depends on on the job. You don’t need to be 100% efficient for most jobs. Sometimes it’s nice to have a day off during the work week to get personal stuff done while things are actually still open
I work 12 hours overnight weekends for 3 days a week.
Sure, if anything i'd be saving on commute time and spending 1 less day eating a subpar lunch.
That sounds like hell, what job do you have? I feel like I would get anxiety about the next job shift on my days off which would ruin my days off
24 hours 2 days per week
Yes because I can't even find more than 1 or 2 full time jobs to apply to, everything says it's part-time
>working
>wearing pants
i do but not underpants
I work 60-70 hours in 5-6 days then 2 days off
Its 12-14 hours per day
Depends what kind of workers you employ. I do 12 hour days, and have done months without a day off. It is about fitness, eating right, and wanting to complete the job. Unfortunately most people are lazy, weak, unmotivated and unhealthy, and lack focus. Try getting workmates to knuckle down and do a 4 hour stint before lunch, and they can't do it. Fucking cigarette, coffee/ redbull and smartphone breaks every hour. Nothing gets done, and they're burnt out by 5pm.
I work 3 12s and an 8 hour shift every other week. It is okay but the job is very boring. I just sit around monitoring an instrument remotely then every few days have to suit up and go in a clean room to empty/clean/load said instrument.
I’d work 3 days a week - 12yrs a day, with a 1hr break and two 15 min breaks. For full salary.
Do you want some advice...if you don't already know this, make sure you sleep in a pitch-black room as your body won't activate melatonin (antioxidant) if your body detects light (it is the hormone that regulates sleep). Studies are showing nightshifts ruin health, because the workers are sleeping in rooms that aren't dark enough, as Melatonin (x1000 stronger than Vitamin C) isn't being activated.
Get yourself some blackout blinds etc.
I’d appreciate a boring job. I used to work on an assembly line pulling lumber for 10 hours with one 30 minute break for lunch. I would get physically drained after where I always in recovery afterwards
This. I'll take a job I love for 10h/4days, better if it's flexible working time.
Government work is good if you can mentally handle spending your time accomplishing nothing, being dragged down by inertia, and witnessing/abetting the waste of public money. You get great benefits, a pension, and exert minimum effort. Further your job vests and it is almost impossible to fire you.
I used to be a consultant and our clients were nearly all government-run entities. We lived off them like leeches since they couldn't fix their problems.
I just woke up and I am already tired
Worked 12 hour night shift for a few weeks. Easiest money if my life.
Almost everyone were home, not much to do, lots of places to hide away and sleep at and if a job needed to be done the supervisor called you so the phone were basically an alarm clock.
Granted it was only for a few weeks and you would probably be bored of it for an extended period of time like any other job.
Still easy money and you felt refreshed and didn't miss any daytime activities.
I already do that.
>Tfw working 12 hour shifts 4 days a week before doing an 8 hour shift on friday
Feels wagie man
I work 10 hours a day, 5 days a week as a builder
No, I generally prefer to work every day, for fewer hours.
I work five twelve hour shifts a week now. Four am to four pm.
Gotta be up at 5:00 fuck
Lol, I work 12 hours a day 6-7 days a week.
2 12's, 3 8's, and every other Sunday for 110k. I can live with this.
I work 4 months out of the year and chill for 8. That's the life of a seasonal trapper.
How much do you make a year
Same, I work self-employed for about 6 months and for the rest of year, mostly tending some business and chilling.
The salary is not bad, about 55k ish yearly.
55kish for just the 6 month trapping?
This sounds like a great gig. Would want to do this and have time to work on my business the other half
Not trapping, sorry. I work as a software engineer(contract work).
Still, I heard trapping can make similar salary with experience.
80K catching raccoons, mountain beavers and moles.
Still 55k for software engineering for 6 months is also ideal
Nice that seems legit
Hello fellow oilfield
Working 36 hours straight, except under dire emergency conditions, is ridiculously counterproductive. Even when I was in Afghanistan they'd try to avoid having us be "on" for that long at a stretch unless the dirt smurfs were lobbing shit at us.
Imagine willingly giving up 12 hours of any single day to someone else so they can profit. Now imagine they have kids and a house and you don't and you still agree to it.
Cucked 10,000%.
I work 12 hours a day, 15 days then 6 days off.
I'm home a lot of nights and I work with only hard working conservative Christian men.
Men are meant to work every day, just not pushing paper.
Get a real job that befits a true Aryan and stop bitching about hours.
My job is pretty relaxed, desu. Its a 10 hr shift and I barely notice compared to when I've worked really really shitty 8 hour days.
It's the dream
I work as an underground miner with that schedule, and you just look at going to work the exact same as a normal 8-5 after the weekend.
7 days a week packing food from a crate into plastic packaging, 12 hour days (10 on Sunday), night shift, agency( no OT and £30 deducted a week for handling payments), work with 7 polish dudes who speak no english with 1 30 min break and 2 smoke breaks a shift.
I do 3 12.5 days. 3 on 4 off. Wouldn't go back to 5 days a week
no
I work 60+ hours a week every week, usually out of town too. I make bank doing it. Why aren’t you successful yet user? Pic related
What do you do user?
What is underground mining like? And where do you do it?
Yea, I do this now. 12 hours per day, 3 or 4 days per week alternating. One full week off per month.
I used to do same thing, started my own business in early 2000's. Put up all my own towers in two counties. Then Bell and rogers decided to attack me through a township movement saying my towers looked bad and wrecked the view of the countryside. had 19 towers between 180 feet and 360 feet in two counties.
I managed to turn it around on bell and rogers. mainly because bell and rogers where not local and refused to service the areas calling it not profitable enough without government help (tax $$$$).
So I went to county meetings and managed to get a law put in place that no new towers over 80 feet could be built. You'd think this was a bad thing? Nope.
It forced Everyone to have to rent tower space from me as there was zero competition.
This allowed for my retirement at age 35 with millions and millions still coming in steady.
If you know of unerserved areas it's worth it to go out there move your family is best for township backing. build towers and do the same law.
I already do. 11 hour days including the hour lunch break, but it's really not that bad. I have to walk around the office sometimes in order to stretch my legs out, but it's worth having 3 day weekends every week.

Fuck no, I want a 32 hour work week
This thread made me realize how lucky I am for being a NEET. I will grasp it as much as possible, enjoying every minute of free existance, and then I'll have to find a job I will simply kill myself and exit this game called "life"
No but I'd consider working four 8s. The 40-hour work week has been made obsolete by productivity improvements anyway.
You don't need fucking employment, stop believing the meme. You only need income.
>caring about your efficiency for corporate masters as opposed to maximizing time with family/your own pursuits
you better be self employed cunt
3 day weekend = I can visit my grandpa a state over instead of getting wednesdays and sundays off and doing nothing but self serving hobbies
this
wish I figured this out a looooong time ago
for God, yes. the reward he'll give once
the kingdom of heaven begins will be
worth the pain and suffering.
Self-employed seems /comfy/. Freedom plus low tax rates here.
i used to work 2 twenty hour days a couple of years ago for like 6 months
five day weekend
wasn't too bad
And where can one get income other than employment?
work for self.
You start with asking the right question, which you just did.
No fuck off
working 12h a day, ... wtf
i'd rather kill police and shoot myself
How would I pay myself? In order to get money for paying myself for work I need to get money as a boss. I'd be stuck in infinite self-recursion.
