oh this. We kill sharks all the time once they're a clear and present danger. When they get caught in nets and stuff usually you let them go, unless they're a Mako, in which case there is no safe way to get them back in the water. b/c they're very thrash and very bitey.

No fishing captain cares about laws out at sea when there its not as simple as throw it back. Most commercial boats will stop the nets and shotgun a Mako twice in the head before its let on board to be disentangled.
