It could easily be true even if global warming is real. On the other hand, there is an absolute fuckton of scientific literature and observational data out there supporting the conclusion that it is real and something is happening. To put it simply, observed global temperatures and CO2 levels have spiked massively at rates orders of magnitudes faster than ever recorded in past data (ice cores and such) and all that happened to coincide with the time period in which human beings became an industrial civilization. Not hard to grasp.

B is the liberal leftie position. Consider that pretty much every climate agreement was a failure, that cap-and-trade was essentially just another form of grift, that carbon taxes are taxes on all energy that only serve to piss people off and are doomed to fail (see Paris riots). Also consider that no climate agreement is actually possible: in game theory it's basically a prisoner's dilemma, anybody who defects and ignores the climate is still better off than everyone else if the world is going to shit anyway. And keep in mind that some countries won't be affected much whereas others will literally be wiped off the map (thank God), e.g. Switzerland vs. Bangladesh so there's not even an equal incentive for everyone to care. And they expect all that to actually work.

There's a pretty good reason not to invest in seafront property even before the seas permanently overtake the land in those areas. Over time storm surges and rainfall will increase in those regions, increasing the likelihood/frequency of floods. Since many places are mandated to have some sort of flood insurance, premiums will increase, and this will indirectly be reflected in housing prices. This trend moves against the grain of ever rising home values + the premium that shoreline property receives over everything else.

Eventually, something will give way and the real estate market will collapse entirely, perhaps much sooner than we rationally expect. Tens of trillions of dollars in market value will be lost virtually overnight, way bigger than anything that happened in 2008.

You can't look at a small set of data points and expect it to tell you about the overall trend. 2017 and the five years prior to that were six of the ten hottest years in the historical record, but 2018 isn't going to be as hot as 2017 or 2016, therefore we must be heading into an ice age.

If you also look at localized regions you will find that the temperature anomaly isn't always uniform. Some places get warmer, others get colder. Sometimes the perception of dramatically increased hot or cold is just subjective.
