Hello, my name is Tony, in my younger years, i used to bite my lips because of anxiety, for the last 5 YEARS, my lips have been peeling and reforming and peeling and reforming, i have no money and i can't go to a dermatologist, i dont know how to get them to stop peeling and heal up.
I can't deal with this anymore, its driving me to insanity, IF ANYONE HAS ANY way to cure this please write here.
Try vitamin E oil or some other kind of healing oil.
Austin Gomez
I tried that and it just makes them sloth off faster and reform in the next 4 days, same with every other lip balm and oil.
Andrew Bennett
personally, use a milder lip balm, burts bees will do (maybe vaseline if its pretty bad) chapstick is bad for some reason, that's what ex told me. then get your lips a lil wet. not too much. just hydrate it with a light coat of water. then coat it with balm to keep moisture locked in. it's kind of worked for me.
Landon Lopez
Used vaseline, it didn't work and it slogged off and reformed.
Maybe will try burt's bees but i'm really losing fucking hope to be honest
Jaxon Baker
far from a pro but uh.. exfoliate them with something and then right after?
either way bump for this poor user
Liam Allen
This sounds obvious but are you licking your lips?
Evan Myers
Try la Roche Posay cicaplast lip balm. Their Cicaplast line is designed to repair skin.
Jayden Myers
Have you had this problem before and cured it with this product?
Easton Murphy
Vaseline all day every day, lip balm won't help
Oliver Long
If i do that the scabs get so soft the come off, how do i prevent this?
Landon Cruz
no, i dont touch them.
Liam Thompson
basically youll have to stick with it for a long time.
John Powell
Have you dealt with this before?
Joseph Taylor
I tried what you said, the skin fell off 3 hours after putting on the vaseline, this has officially not worked.
Kayden Peterson
I'll be trying this next, if it does not work im going to off myself.
Noah Lopez
I know exactly what you mean user. I’ve been biting and picking at my lower lip for MANY many years. I have the exact same issue.
You need to hydrate and use chapstick every single day. It will take some time to heal because multiple layers of skin are super dry and dead. But don’t quit, keep using the chapstick and do not bite you lips anymore and after time they will heal and become normal again. It took me a few weeks but I fixed it

What did you do when the scabs start to come off at the edges, and did you change what you ate during this process?
Jaxson Price
sometimes I would peel the scab (although that might not be the smart choice). The chapstick softens the scab, and my scabs would look white so I would get embarrassed and peel it off.
As far as eating, around the same time I did start eating more carrots and spinach. I’m not sure if it plays a role for lips, but I suppose it’s possible. I was eating those foods because they ate high in Vitamin A which is healthy for skin and reduces acne.
Brody Bailey
But if i peel the scab won't it not heal? So your saying have something on the lips constantly from stage 1 (nothing on the lips) and keep it constantly on there till they are healed after a few weeks?
Luis Edwards
Well maybe a scab wasn’t the word I was looking for. The upper most layer of dead skin. But I would sometimes peel it off because the chapstick was kind of bonding it together so it didn’t want to natrually fall off.
But yes, keep capstick on your lips throughout the day and night. Don’t put a shit load on there of course, but make sure you have it on your lips. Make yourself stop biting and picking your lips too. Also, don’t lick your lips because saliva dries them out. Just use chapstick everyday and don’t touch your lips. After a few weeks they will heal. Just be careful tho, don’t let your habits return. After my lips became fully healed, I stopped using the chapstick and started biting again. Now I’m back to the beginning..right now the left side of my lower lip looks like your OP pic. Fuck me
Tyler Brown
Use Aquafor moisturising lip balm. Also, put a global of Vasaline on a rag and use the Vasaline and rag to wet and scrub the dead skin off of your lips, then put lip balm on.
Gavin Johnson
I used to do this and it went so bad, now one side of my lip is bigger than other cause the bigger side i used to pick much more. What i did is use lip balm or chapstick before going to bed! Drink enough water and do not pick lips. It is tempting to pick on skin what is looking like its hanging loose but that is what made my lips heal slower! As soon i stoped that it healed faster!
