Wall approved in house

So is there any chance the senate approves this? They need 60 so that's 9 dems, right? Any way they get 9 to agree to avoid a shutdown or whatever?

iunno, what time is the deadline? i can wait, just doing the ESO holiday event

They have to or have no power to hurt Trump. The democrats hate Trump so much they will cave to keep government open so they can try to impeach him.

we only need 51

>iunno, what time is the deadline? i can wait, just doing the ESO holiday event
when is the deadline....I wanna stay up and watch this shit

we only need 50

many don't even have a job in a month, so it won't hurt them to not care.

>what is reconciliation?
>what is the nuclear option?

Reconciliation is a legislative process of the United States Congress that allows expedited passage of certain budgetary legislation on spending, revenues, and the federal debt limit with a simple majority vote in both the House (218 votes) and
>Senate (51 votes).

>Reconciliation is a legislative process of the United States Congress that allows expedited passage of certain budgetary legislation on spending, revenues, and the federal debt limit with a simple majority vote in both the House (218 votes) and
when is the senate vote?!

Tomorrow I believe. The only problem is Dems have the keys next year for a budget renewal, so Trump has some work to do.

This. Fucking do it McConnell. Just plow throw.

>Tomorrow I believe. The only problem is Dems have the keys next year for a budget renewal, so Trump has some work to do.
what does that mean? As in they can retool the budget and have this essentially undone?

>Any way they get 9 to agree to avoid a shutdown or whatever?
Yeah, just shut down and loltl;dr any answer except 9 or more votes until 9 votes happen.

I don't think so. What I see happening (if Trump follows through with his shutdown threat) is that the real pressure gets put on McConnel to go nuclear and get rid of the filibuster. There's no way that enough Dems will defect

Not exactly. The Dems in the House do have control over that side, but they won't be able to get enough votes in the Senate for anything, even when Mittens sides with them

More or less. Thank god. There's a GoFundMe for you inbreds. I don't want my tax dollars going to a security blanket for sub 90IQ whiteoids.

Republicans have the majority in the Senate. The wall is going forward unimpeded.

So you'll stop paying taxes then?

>Republicans have the majority in the Senate. The wall is going forward unimpeded.
I was asking him what he meant by "the dems have the keys next year for budget renewal" Not sure I understand it

He's saying the democrat house could just pass another budget taking away funds, but the senate would have to approve it which is not happening.

>He's saying the democrat house could just pass another budget taking away funds, but the senate would have to approve it which is not happening.
right got it. Yah I think they're taking the knee on this now.

Imho it looks as tho the Middle East pull out has a lot of the nevertrumper/neocons/rinos running a bit scared. This is a direct threat to their own bases, as well as bank accounts. They'll have a tough time publicly denouncing his moves w that.

>is there any chance the senate approves this?
Not right away. The Dems will let the government shutdown before approving wall funding without a bit of a fight. After that it will be the usual media and political hysterics. Then, after an undetermined amount of time, a deal will be cut. Trump gets the wall funding and Dems will get to say it isn't a wall, but border security barrier.
