LOOK AT THIS DUDE OH NO NO

seriosuly, Im an apple pie big tits muscle car man and I love America, but why do you build houses out of fake wood?

Most insulation is made in America. I would know.

It's common in Europe for everyone to live in concrete shit boxes. Either they are former commie blocks, or cheap post war construction. They also love bricks and cinder blocks.

explain building big houses? what?

>insulation
>wood

uhhhhh

>concrete shit boxes
Concrete is a great thermal conductor!

Now THIS is an actually sturdy house that can last.

We have those in America too dipshit

can you make a big 2 story house out of that though?

Hurricane Katrina flattened 800k homes.

Hurricanes aren't actually that destructive, the build quality is just shit.

Wood framed houses use engineered supports and trusses. This is why our buildings don't collapse like yuropoor buildings drop every time there's a minor earthquake

H-hey stop bullying us the senators told us Mr.shekelberg materials are the best to build with. they can't be lying you stupid commie

>look up chineese drywall = insulation
Wow you are retarded

It's like having your house made from IKEA lmao

I live in an area where there are virtually no natural disasters

This is a Divide and Conquer thread for the purpose of spreading distrust of blue collar industry ahead of the construction of the border wall

OP's entire argument is anti-capitalist in intention.

Ignore croat posts.
Ignore croat posters.

>Wow you are retarded

Im not, I know that drywall isnt an insulator, but you are being such a sissy

>natural disasters

stop with this meme, moisture is more dangerous to a house than "natural disaster"

Here's another example of superior yuropoor building standards.

Attached: london-fire.jpg (2000x2696, 888K)

I have always wondered why the fuck yanks dont use fucking bricks.

Frame building and using Stranded board for exterior wall cladding, it then gets a tyvec wrap to allow for humidity to escape while preventing liquid from entering.
This is wood rot and happens because this housing design is not really good for high humidity environment.
I don't know while you going to rip on American home building, it is cheap but high tech. Esters, epoxies, fiberglass, gypsum, use of otherwise wasted materials.

Russian Pederation

Attached: 1444793.jpg (700x525, 75K)

They are too poor for that

>I know that drywall isnt an insulator
Then why'd you bring it up?

Because a lot of areas in the US are earthquake prone and brick does not hold up well in earthquakes.

>This is a Divide and Conquer thread for the purpose of spreading distrust of blue collar industry ahead of the construction of the border wall

memes, BUILD IT!

>This is wood rot

*plastic and feces rot

Wood doesnt rot that easy, unlike OSB

This cardboard box is a good deal go- I mean friend. Cost is just 500k which you can mortgage for a variable rate for 30 years at just 2%. Don't worry about it lasting. We'll insure it for you at just 5% a year

That looks much newer than my house. My house is about 50 years old and still has the original shake roof. Wasn't cheap either.

Round wood looks way better than what you posted. Nothing can beat this in comfiness.

I hope the cardboard shitboxes don't blow away when there's a hurricane or something

WTF? They're building apartments with WOOD now? WTF?!

swedish house :3

I live in a place where there is very little moisture as well

>out of fake wood?
What makes it fake? It's spruce or pine timbers and aspenite boards. It's just the structure too, there's going to be brick or concrete as the final layer on top of it on the outside, insulation and sheetrock on the inside.

>Round wood

inferior structural design actually - water can get trapped between easier. pic rel

>Then why'd you bring it up?

lapsus

Doesn't everyone build multi story multi resident buildings without any kind of fire suppression?

>Capitalist company makes money
>"JEWS DID THIS!"

No, yours are destroyed by wind kek

except that of course, that house is standard in finland while muttland barely has it

that fucking house is leaking heat all over the place. plus no termite treatment.

whats the r-value on that?

Bricks are not usually used in load bearing applications, except for basement spars/pylons, but most often used for exterior decorative facades. Timber framing found in rustic europeans homes is very expensive and requires more trained labor and understanding of wood. Carpentery for large timbers requires curing, working around knots, joinery, and lumber of suitable dimension.

What is this an outhouse?

we're not impressed by your cuckshed, sven. go away.

Nothing wrong with a wooden house when you use the right materials.
Not that the yanks use the right materials.

perfectly engineered, It's why we study materials

How many homes you built with your own two hands, user?

Saged.

(plastic and feces) urea is synthesize by mollusks, a byproduct of industrial processes, and just so happens to be a waste product in urine. Plastics is just a general term for any polymer that demonstrates plastic qualities and you can't even have a tree that is 9 feet wide.

you don't know what you are talking about

Drop the meme flag and show us what shithole joke of a country you live in. The house I live in now is over a century old and has no problems.

Yuropoors are just jealous they can't afford to build large, spacious houses. Enjoy your brick cucksheds that collapse on you everytime the ground shifts a little

Regular earthquakes on the west coast and Hawaii/Alaska. Mountain states near Yellowstone, same thing. Desert states, quick development. Midewest and south, cost. Northeast, more brick and steel.

No surprise the WTC collapsed.

youropoors cant even afford that

There's nothing wrong with a company making money but misselling to goys is condemnable. Mass consumer lending with carboard boxes to back them up will blow up at some point

Houses here last easily for 200 years. Pic related is a place near me. Can you say the same about american homes?

sometimes less is more my fellow burger

houses last 200 years but you still shit in streets

>you don't know what you are talking about

Sorry, but he's more or less correct.

I've talked to people in Britain and very aware of the style of houses in Coventry, I know you make brick walls and such, but you have stupid codes on restorative work on historical homes. Just because you can build a home out of brick work and thatched roofing doesn't mean you have to.

So explain to me why your architecture is superior when you are not allowed to change the windows on your house without your nanny government's permission?

ACtually these are not only growing in popularity, they are going to explode due to the cheap construction costs and the cheaper materials cost. Unnfortunately your finland b.s. has a shit interior. in america we place paneling and insulation so the insides can be high tech white the out side is nice and rustic

Looks comfy desu

its vastly different from country to country though, unlike your dystopian hellhole where everything was constructed out of nothing and has no history.

I just find ameriposters so cute when you get railed about about stuff you shouldnt even be defending.

Attached: 1457839853.jpg (320x172, 10K)

What needs explaining?
Boomers fucked us up with their "I need it NOW McMansions"

Thats just am exterior skin. Cost and strength. They will put some other shit on top of it.

>Brony
Nigger, you fucking leave.

Why wouldn't a wooden house be capable of lasting 2 centuries. I'm part owner of a relatively large electrical contractor, we routinely do work in 100+ year old buildings that are just as solid as when they were built. Pic related, we just renovated this building constructed in 1860. This house will most definitely still be standing 100 years from now

Attached: ISqlp3tbp439161000000000.jpg (310x413, 63K)

Pic related would not pass an inspection during construction. No joist hangers or hurricane ties. Improperly secured with dowels.

Attached: 36_x_32_Post__Beam_Carriage_Barn_Ellington_CT-IMG_4279-2-0.jpg (1500x1000, 288K)

Why won't they at least make them from stainless steel?

Attached: steel framing.jpg (977x842, 263K)

The amount of hoops you need to jump through to guarantee that (and have it hold up in a court of law) is substantial because the niggers who manufacture this wood are fucking retards who would gladly shit in the plywood bin if given the chance

>Bricks are not usually used in load bearing applications

You're a moron.
You are also talking about around 0.000001% of all houses that are protected from achitectural vandalism because, unlike yanks, we have history and heritage that we would like to preserve.

Cement fiber siding is superior to everything.

>Why wouldn't a wooden house be capable of lasting 2 centuries.

It can last even more, but OSB is not wood.

that is beautiful!

>stainless steel?

it rusts eventually, steel isnt good for civil construction as a base material

Don't try to reason with people who have no concept of hygiene and plumbing lol. Even cats have the decency to cover up their shit.

I'd also like to note we're doing another home right up the street. The rear portion of the structure is brick, and the walls are like 15+ degrees out of plumb. Learn how to use a toilet before you start larping as a fucking structural engineer

>visible cords

Too soon. Wait til' 2020 when it's revealed that 9/11 was an inside job. Inside Israel.

>Dresden

OSB isn't used for anything structural, and a lot of builders use plywood not OSB anyway

Because it costs more. Building regs means despite using stronger material, you still have to have everything spaced like it was load bearing like wood.

Attached: stone-house-ireland_thumb.jpg (550x367, 114K)

We don't actually have termites here or any other bugs that could destroy houses. Also yeah those kinds of houses are summer cottages and not meant to be lived in during the winter.
