hmm close. Your issues are very complicated on this subject- Personally I think stablecoins undermine the entire build of this system. HOWEVER- they are necessary and will be necessary
for instance: No one is "giving money to them" because trading into and out of a stablecoin doesn't create more money, it flux's as its traded against the market.
But the issues they are going to face it when crypto does have a huge run up, and it will.. most stable coins will go bankrupt because there will not be enough physical cash in thier systems to back up thier stable coins; and lot of them will die.
What you will see tho, is the rise of Bitcoin backed stablecoins: much like how LTC gets its value from being bitcoins testnet- Pure coins pegged to a dollar will not work in this system- and for instance USDT has been having isues for the last 8 months- Pure stable coins cannot survive alone in crypto.
BUT: they do have uses. Such us giving the shitty stablecoin provider valuable bitcoins for their shitty fiat based stablecoin
