Hey guys, a crazy bitch on you tube is probably suing me for defamation. It is the stupidest thing ever. Stupid alien video spreading false information triggered me to respond to woman, the one who is suing, for calling some person an idiot for no reason, my response was entirely about the video, not personal or insulting in any way. I guess say something she is doing is "foolish".
She responds "just the fact you say it's " against your will" shows how uneducated you really are in this subject. Go back and study, dumb ass"
Some other guy comments his innocent opinion on the video and she says to him: "nobody cares what you think. Keep your pedestrian views on the world to yourself and stop preventing progress."
This bitch is literally rude af for no reason to 3 people. This causes the other fellow to really go off for about 15 sentences, calling her all the names in the book,OPINIONS, mind you. Such things as:"You're channel is fucking retard. OMG! You have the audacity to talk down to people that comment on this video. Why did you disable your Channel.? I know why because you sound like a fucking crazy bitch. You sound like you need to be on Prozac for the rest of your life you got no views and a lot of thumbs down on your video because you truly sound retarded! You're overreacting. Is she actually suing? As in, you've actually been served legal documents? Suing is a long and expensive process, especially in the US. People don't just sue other for fun. Most of the time it's an empty threat from shitheads who want to rattle you. People like to posture power over each other, even if that power is just an empty threat. Based on her comments, I don't think she has a case. She can't sue someone for "defamation" and respond by calling people retards, et cetera. If her lawyer has any scruples, he will point out that she has no case. You basically said your opinion. My advice, if you want it, is not to get into text and comment wars on the internet about stupid shit that does not even matter. If you wouldn't say it to the persons face, don't say it online. As for the other dude, I'm pretty sure she can't sue him for calling her fat, because again, that's an opinion. I feel like I read somewhere that insults aren't defamation because they're obviously meant to be rude.
In any case defamation would normally require that she show evidence of some kind of loss as a direct response to your comment, and then you'd be liable for the amount of that loss. Even if she could hold up a chart that showed she lost 500 subs just after your comment I don't think there's any way to prove that your comment was the problem and not her content, so I can't see any case. Even if there were a case the damages would be such a small amount that a judge would probably throw her out.

Well, the part that gets iffy is saying someone is on medication or needs medication but I'm not sure if anything can be done about that. There's a difference between saying an offhand comment such as you're crazy and saying some diagnosis of a mental illness, but either way she'd have to show that you guys saying that caused her to have actual damages. Given that her response was something like, " you guys are fat retards," I don't think she would be taken seriously because then it's just a mutual fight, she is no longer the victim. She didn't choose her words very carefully.

Defamation cases require the accuser to prove malice, ie intent to damage the reputation of whomever is suing you. Youtube comments hardly warrant a civil suit, but even if she did sue you she would probably lose and waste a lot of money in the process.
That being said, some people do actually follow through and win cases over idle youtube comments like these. The likelihood of that happening would be like winning the lottery three times in a row though.
