Has anyone else developed a dependancy on working out? I started doing 5k runs along with push ups and crunches every day and now my body feels like absolute shit if I dont work out. I get cold sweats, anxiety, lack of appetite, inability to fall asleep at night, and slightly nauseous. I feel as right as rain as long as I work out every 24 hours, but christ help me if I miss my fix for even a day.

It's Christmas I feel like passing out. Every fuckin winter I do not bike to work. Every fucking spring I need 2-3weeks to get back into shape, or to be able to bike 5 days without muscle fevers. If 9 months of training does not pass 3 I say you are right and any further training is of no use. Also why do any muscle taining if it is lost in 3 months. Technical trainig makes more sense. Some shit martial art or HEMA or archery seems more interesting than pure old boring repetitions.

You can workout inbetween HEMA sessions. Cardio especially is useful if you want to dominate in your class, but strength training and calisthenics is also useful.

I go jogging and running occasionally, plus body weight exercises.

But discipline is hard, so the intervals between occasions are large.

If you mean for fighting, the adrenaline will make strength an unpredictable advantage in a bout that would take 10s in a real sword fight. Technique would be more favorable.
