If you can afford it, I say go for it. But if they're also willing to let you stay and it's not particularly a bad environment, then stay.
I got thrown out on my ass by my parents at that age and they stole my car. I was homeless for a while, and only around the age of 23 did I finally manage to get a "place," and by that, I mean an old futon pad and a lamp in someone's spare bedroom.
Moving out is a spectacular idea when you have decent resources and can make the transition a lot easier.
But it all comes down to how much money you're gonna have in the bank. Are you looking at just barely making rent each month and needing to beg for food or eat nothing but beans and rice? Maybe not worth it then.

I have enough money for about 3 years rent (in a small but decent apartment). I’m in second last year of stem degree and should have an ok job at the end of 2019.
So I wouldn’t be in as harsh situation as you, but at the same time no job is guaranteed yet.
It’s just really been getting to me lately, I feel like staying here is keeping me a child and stopping my growing into an independent member of society.
Would you say that it helped you in that sense (even though you were living in extremely tough conditions)?
I just see so many neet types discussing anime on Jow Forums in their late 20s and 30s and I don’t want that to be me.

I was in the same position as you and decided to move out at 22. Not gonna lie, yes it was rough getting settled and shit but it makes you grow as a person. I'm not sure what your options are but I got out loans which really helped a lot with my living situation.

Were you living alone or with a partner or with a flatmate (sharing rent)?

22 is technically Millennial by a hair. Pew Research said 1996 was the cutoff for Millennials and that Zoomers begin in 1997.
Brandon Gomez
Yes. I moved out and started living my own life. Best thing I ever did.

Not really the point of my question. Splitting hairs... boomers zoomer yoomers whatever
These are what I’m interested in. Can you tell me your “story”. Why was it the best thing you ever did?

I live in Cailfornia, it's tough. I got my first apartment around 2011 and in 2015 I moved out because the cost of rent sky rocketed. I can no longer afford my own apartment. I lived in a trailer for a year and now I have a room mate. There's nothing more I want than to afford my own place but on a minimum wage it's just impossible. I'm going back to college now as a 29 year old boomer. I have no choice.

I'm I Seattle like OP also and going to school at 30. It really sucks. There's something about being 30 and living with your parents that makes you feel like less of a person. I'm in college and yet I've completely stopped approaching women, stuff like that.
