I was Jow Forums before I ever met Jow Forums. I turned up on the chans in 08 but long before that looking into 9/11 had led me down a long rabbit hole of alternate history.

Just stop watching the news, man. There's no way of knowing the truth about things unless you're really high up in the goverment, and even then there are things hidden to you. Because of this, trying to find out things like ''what's cooking up in Area 51'' is a complete waste of time and brain energy. You're only feeding your own anxiety.
Although I'm not Jow Forums myself I do have an inquisitive nature and I end up getting curious about stuff like the USSR's nuclear program, but I ultimately know that it's best to disconnect for a bit and experience reality.
What's reality for me? The people around me. Having people you enjoy being around with is crucial to not go insane; talk to them and enjoy their company and stray away from those who might harm you.
Just know that 90% of the stuff you see on the news is pointless fearmongering. You'll get to know the real important stuff anyways.
