I find it amazing how there were Germans who still claimed those lands after 1945. They seemed completely out of touch with the situation. What on Earth were these people thinking? Were they seriously hoping for a victorious WW3, because that's the only way and even in miraculous scenario where there still something left of Europe and humanity after that, I doubt the US would prioritize restoring German borders and expelling millions of Poles over other issues.
