Every year they have more buying power with their limited capital, more means to leverage it (if they care to learn how) and more access to cheaper resources. Dollar General is the perfect example of this. Long answer, is that the elites have LONG wanted to wipe the middle class out. Because the middle class is uppity as fuck. They demand a major say in how things are run. They demand more than just the scraps that the working class are forced to accept via the "you don't want scraps? starve motherfuckers" method of forcing the working poor to exist on slave wages that barely allow them to survive. They get pissed because they have to bear the brunt of all major tax cuts. Because they are the people in sob story documentaries about the horrors of the US health care system, because they make money/have all of the jobs that provide them with good health care plans free of charge; yet get fucked in the ass with no vaseline when the insurance company refuses to actually provide said health care.

The left want to wipe out the middle class, because the wealthy left-wing elite aren't fucking giving up their position at the seat of power.
