What’s wrong with Ukraine?

Why is everything that has to do with Ukraine is fucked? Why is it? They are nice people, why haven’t they developed the same way as Poland or Czechia or Slovakia? Bratislava in Slovakia is now the third richest region in the continental EU after Hamburg and Luxembourg, why couldn’t the Ukrainians accomplish something like Slovakia?

>What’s wrong with Ukraine?
russia.

Hard to do anything when the people in charge want to fuck you at every chance.

Ukraine has been a pawn stuck between the West and Russia for a long time. Both sides trying to influence/undermine them.

What do you mean? Ukrainians contribute to your economy, no?

I don't know, ask the Poles.

>They are nice people
lol

They gave up their nuclear to Russians arsenal because Russia, get this, "guaranteed" their sovereignty in the future! The madmen actually believed this!

their nuclear arsenal*

I mean Ukrainian officials just syphon the money for themselves caring fuck all about the country.

They are nice people.

What’s the beef between Ukraine and Russia anyway? You used to be best bros. So sad.

Because we spent more time under communism than CE nations. And that was probably the worst time: Stalin's rule. It really fucks people's mentality very hard. Now people who lived under communism vote for populists, who promise wealth and other shit without any kind of reforms or changes. The other thing is over-bureaucracy of everything related to government services and doing business. Gladly, that is at least somehow improving from 2015. At least decentralization was successful.

Slovakia is doing better than you and is just next door. Poland too. There is no reason whatsoever why you can’t do as well as them. No reason at all. You just need to want to get your act together, resolve your problems with Russia, put in the reforms required for EU accession and off you go joining the Eau by 2028.

>, why haven’t they developed the same way as Poland or Czechia or Slovakia?

We turned west while Ukraine remained with Russia and missed the geopolitical opportunity to ditch them.

Did you really turn West? Really? You turned capitalist and low taxes and fought corruption. That’s all. You realized the American/German way to do business is right, while the African/Italian way is not good.

>from one of the wealthiest USSR republics to one of the poorest in less than 30 years
>b-but communism is to blame!
Hohols are incurable, I see.

Yes. There was near unanimous resolve to leave the Russian sphere of influence and join NATO and the EU. It wasn't the same for Ukraine since there wasn't that much bad blood began their countries and many Ukrainians speak Russian or were actually ethnic Russians. Our attempt to join the European Union forced us to fight corruption much harder while Ukraine had no such incentive. We also had our own state apparatus while Ukraine was intertwined with Soviet institutions, military, intelligence making separation much harder. Only recently they go fed up with Russia to pursue different options - we'll see how it goes

Did Crimea legit vote to become part of Russia?

People are the reason, but that changes. Regarding the reforms the most important is judicial reform, especially the introduction of anti-corruption court. Hope that will be done, otherwise we will be fucked for god know how many years more.

>Did Crimea legit vote to become part of Russia?
The only two shoices on the sham ballot said join Russian or leave Ukraine.
(1) There was literally no option to stay part of Ukraine on the ballot
(2) Armed Russian troops arrested hundreds to intimidate the people
(3) Propaganda blitzkrieg to disinform the residents of Crimea prior to vote
(4) Russian troops cut electric and gas to frighten residents, false flag blamed Ukrainians.

It was clumsy but it terrorized the population.
a quarter-million Tartars boycotted the shit-show circus election

>The only two shoices on the sham ballot said join Russian or leave Ukraine.

Run choice number 2 through Google translate and see what it says.

Actually no, don't. I forgot to check your flag. You're fucked anyway.

>What's wrong with Ukraine?
It's full of ukrainians, creatures that are lower than bugs.

Mate the top one says "are you for becoming a subject of the Russian federation"
The bottom one says "Basically do you support the status of Krym being a according to the 1992 years constitution a part of Ukraine"
Do you even know what the ballot you posted says? lol.

2) Are you for restoration of 1992 constitution and recognition of Crimea as a Ukranian state?
Good job as always burger

You can use google lens app on an android phone to translate text of an image in real time. #2 contains the dont leave option.

How many other things you said are lies?

In order for that to happen, at least 90% of the current politicians need to disappear. Do you see the problem already? They might do it with the current elite in power anyway but that doesn't change much. Because they'll have to 1) make up cases in which they create the illusion of fighting corruption or 2) genuinely start fighting corruption. If they go for option 2, they'll declare war on every politician in the Rada and government (and they'll be destroyed).

Because Ukraine is a fake made up artificial non-country.

>why is eastern europe worse than central europe
-they abolished feudalism only in 1861
-they were communist starting from 1921 and not just post-WWII
-30% of their population is Russians who sabotage their efforts to become Westernized
some reasons off the top of my head

It’s the same reason why every country in Europe is not where or what they should. Everyone knows the reason, it’s obvious. Those in control with power use it to undermine their population through financial usury and immigration exploitation. Marching over 50 million men, between 20-27 2 different times in a span less than 100 years, into the grinder of the military-industrial-suffering complex depleted the best part of the world of its greatest and brightest generations. In return you had replacements who changed their names, assumed nationalities, and gained control from the power vacuum created by the male depopulation. Combine that with the emasculation of men in post-war modern society it’s a recipe for poor economic growth, decreased standards of living, and overall shitty life. OP-The Kraut autistic affinity for considering Slavs specifically Ukrainians subhuman is created by the same mechanisms of war that you find in 1914 and 1938. Ethnic brothers from their own unique Nations marching hand in hand into their own destruction. Doesn’t matter who shot the first bullet it was a tragedy that we let it get to that point. Now we sit here shit talking one another finding little to no common ground to unite and destroy those who look to enslave and destroy us. We will never regain control because too many are preoccupied with the materialistic frivolities of modern life because it’s easier to sit back and let evil flourish than to embrace with courage this fight we must wage. It’s not just tiresome it’s truly depressing to the point where I don’t want to interact with anyone or anything but wait for death but I can’t because if I speak these words and not act upon them I wan worse than those who do nothing unknowingly.

Cyrillic script man, it's fucked up, nobody can read that shit, so they're stuck in backwardness.

I'm not fluent in either Russian or Ukrainian but video interviews of people present during the election seem to show about 80% were of Russian heritage and genuinely wanted to be returned to Russia.

>the beef between Ukraine and Russia anyway? You used to be best bros. So sad.
Jews and banderas got in the way.

But I blame Putin for not being able to enstablish healthy relationship between Russia and Ukraine which resulted in people wanting to get away from Russia. Something similar happens with Belarus - people might like Russia, but they also realize that with Putin's goverment being allied with Russia wil inevitably lead to economic collapse sooner or later.

>What’s wrong with Ukraine?
Corruption. And it's true for every other shithole in the world. Any country where you can bribe a judge a prosecutor or a cop is doomed to remain a shithole for as long as this doesn't change.

I was asking myself the same question about Romania btw.

>people voting for populists is bad

lol

How did voting for enlightened IMF powered centrists work for westerners? You are talking like someone from 1990 reading fukuyama and believing neoliberal globalist technocracy will rule everything forever and anyone opposing is dumb and backwards

>The other thing is over-bureaucracy of everything related to government services and doing business

Beurocracy is huge in all of the west though the severity varies

You are peddling Hillary-tier talking points here Taras.

>wil inevitably lead to economic collapse sooner or later.

You know crisises are cyclical in capitalism right? And the western model had a massive crisis in 2008 and is currently undergoing further political and economic shocks?

Not shilling for Putin but users from countries to the east of us while knowing well their own problems seem blisfully ignorant of the massive problems the "western world" has

Attached: tfw.png (206x244, 6K)

You wont understand because you dont have commie-mongols near your border for hundreds of years

>Bratislava in Slovakia is now the third richest region in the continental EU after Hamburg and Luxembourg
nigga what are you smoking, I want some of that shit as well

Russia's problem has nothing to do with the western world. West introduces sanctions against Deripaska, Putin allows aluminium wiring - some people will be dying because of this every year, but at least Deripaska will be able to save some money selling that alimium, right? And normal people get VAT and retirement age increased.

>developed the same way as Poland or Czechia or Slovakia

muh religion Poland, Czechia, Slovakia mostly catholics, many atheistsand some lutherans.

Ukraine ortodox shit, like any other ortodox shit country (Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Russia etc)

>Russia's problem has nothing to do with the western world

I never said that, you did not understand my post.

Russian model has a ton of problems but in my opinion the Western model, founded after ww2 and victorious in 1990 is slowly reaching its terminal stage and they (we) are now where the commie block was in 1980 - still powerful but the trends are getting unsustainable in the long term

While here a lot of "Russian world" posters, who are legtimately critical of many problems they have push a fukuyama- tier vsion of "the West"

I don't think Putin's FSB oil and gas powered oligarchy is "the model of the future" but from the inside I can already see that liberal democratic egalitarian progressive globalist technocracy we have here isnt it either.

Interesting times ahread

Ok

Simple, before Ukraine was governed by oligarchs that stole all they could, now they are governed by openly jewish goverment who is not exactly better. They are voting those people in all the time so they have themselves to blame.

I don't disagree, but again, if the west is heading to the inevitable collapse, then Russia is heading there at terminal velocity. And no one really wants to be a part of that.

What a shame. If Putin and his oligarchs wouldn't be so stupid, Russia could try to provide an alternative way.
