I straight up told my doctor I wanted adderall and he gave me 70mg Vyvanse instead, been taking it for a few years. It was given to me as an appetite suppressant but it doesn't really work for me. It gives me a morning boost to start my day. I like it. It goes great with a sip to increase the effects.

I don't have that problem with adderall. There are other (usually illegal) stimulants that are more vasoconstrictive as a result of the dextro(d)/levo(l) isomer ratio being higher in (l) than (d) in clandestine production a result of regulations on the ingredients, (i.e. the left isomer of meth (levomethamphetamine) is actually available to anyone over the counter in the form of a nasal decongestant, because it is a vasoconstrictive agonist)

you can easily jack it for hours on ratiometric stimulants (50 dextro/50 levo) like adderall, stimulants that are mostly levo- will probably kill your boner if not your heart as well.

ADHD, just like almost all mental illnesses cannot be diagnosed physically. There is no scan or test which can show your brain is ADHD, aka the brains of ADHD kids are indistinguishable from normal kids. However, there is a difference in the brains of adults who are diagnosed with ADHD vs average adult. This is caused by the drugs. The difference in brain scans is only seen amonst adults who have been on ADHD meds their whole life.

I've been taking adderall for recreation and diet for maybe the past 3-4 months, on a daily basis. It's completely changed my life. I went from a size 40, 250+lbs, down to a size 32, 172lbs right now. I have tons of energy to work, and when I get home I often brush up on some Psychology and sociology podcasts while I teach myself to mod a game I love, including creating Unity assets and everything. I read 2 hours a night and its not a "chore", I cook amazing healthy food (mostly a meat diet), work out 3-5 times a week.

The drug is not for everyone, and it's especially not for kids. I personally believe that this drug should be illegal for anyone under 30 to take. First time I tried it, I was a kid. It ruined my entire life. I cranked out addies like a fucking methhead, staying away for 4 days at a time, not eating, doing nothing but gaming and partying.

When you're young, amphetamines are a party drug. You already have natural energy from being young and social. Adderall just makes you never fucking leave the party. For young people, its a booster.

I noticed when I got older, motivation lacked, and routine beat me down into complacency. I was fine coming home from work, playing a game while shoveling comfort food down my throat to numb my lack of ambition. Adderall helped me revive the things I was once passionate about, allowed me to learn more about these hobbies, and be a normal productive member of society. Abuse of this pill is no longer an option for me. I'm to old, and have to much riding on my success to fuck around like I did as a kid, and crank out an entire bottle in a weekend.

So its both good and bad, depending on socio and economical position of the user. If you're a broke faggot working at BK's and just want to have energy so you can party all weekend, no, it's not for you. You'll destroy your life

vyvanse is just a prodrug formulation of adderall (prodrugs are a biologically inactive compound has to be metabolized to produce the drug)

I prefer it over adderall because it does a better job of being an extended release drug, they're able to change the rate of metabolization rather than just wax/sugar suspended release beads

I do chew a capsule or take two at once every now and then, but I've gotten pretty good at controlling the "more"ish side of myself and I think it's because of the extended release that kicks in around the time I might have otherwise just popped another IR
