archive.fo/sIM4U >Yesterday, Israel carried out an unprovoked Christmas Day attack against Syria. According to reports citing the Russian Ministry of Defense, six Israeli F16 fighters violated neighboring Lebanese airspace and while passing over Sidon, fired 16 laser-guided GBU-39 bombs towards targets in and around the capital city of Damascus, 14 of which were intercepted by Syrian air defense systems.
>More shocking details were revealed today, as the Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed that the IDF jets flew in to firing position – just as two civilian passenger airliners were in the air preparing for their landings into both Beirut and Damascus airports.
>As a result, Syrian military defense units did not deploy its surface-to-air missiles and electronic jamming “to prevent a tragedy” and instead allowed Damascus air traffic control divert one of its passenger flights to an emergency destination at Khmeimim in Latakia.
>Israel’s IDF would have been fully aware of these passenger airline flights, and therefore would have specifically chosen this exact position and timing in order to carry out their air operation against Syria. Based on this, one can logically conclude then that the IDF placed those civilian flight in danger, and that the Israeli military used those civilian airline flights as cover to increase their odds of executing a successful military airstrike.
>In an official statement to the press today, Russian Defense spokesman Igor Konashenkov stated:
>“Provocative acts by the Israeli Air Force endangered two passenger jets when six of their F-16s carried out airstrikes on Syria from Lebanese airspace.”
>Had the Syrian military not hesitated, and engaged the initial Israeli bogey – and accidentally hit one of the passenger airliners the IDF was using as cover – the international outrage would have been substantial, with the western media most certainly blaming ‘the Assad Regime’ and ‘Putin’s Russia’ for the ‘humanitarian tragedy.’ It’s possible that an incident would have been enough to prompt renewed calls for the US forces to remain in Syria – effectively reversing the announcement made by President Trump last week to withdrawal US troops from their illegal occupation on northeastern Syria. Whether this was the Israeli motive for carrying out such a risky move is uncertain, but yesterday’s reckless incident by Israel follows a familiar and disturbing pattern of using other country’s aircraft as cover in order bait Syria’s air defenses to hit the wrong targets while conveniently concealing their own visibility on their enemy’s radar systems.
>Back in September, Israel executed a similarly reckless maneuver which led to the downing of a Russian surveillance Il-20 plane – killing all 15 crew on board. Israel’s F-16s effectively used it as cover during the attack, which led to the Russian plane being shot down by Syrian air defense systems as it attempted to land near Tartous. To make matters worse, Israeli officials failed to provide the correct location data of their fighter jets, instead feeding misinformation to Russian officials at the last moment, instead claiming IDF jets were going to attack several ‘industrial facilities’ in northern Syria. This move prompted Russian officials to condemn the deceptive act as one of “criminal negligence”, stating at the time:
>“The misleading information provided by the Israeli officer about the area of strikes did not allow the Russian Il-20 airplane to move timely to a safe area.”
Daniel Wood
>After the Syrian air defenses responded to the initial Israeli strike, IDF jets then switched on radar jamming and pulled back – in what many have labeled as a “cowardly act” on the part of Israel.
>To date, Israel has refused to acknowledge any responsibility for the Christmas Day attack, but according to a report by Newsweek quoting a source in the US Defense Department, Israel was targeting ‘senior Hezbollah leaders’ in the air strikes.

MERRY CHRISTMAS! Israeli sponsored snow capsules are on their way to Syria!
What are you guys going do when an actual war is fought against you? Nukes?

Irregardless of this particular news source, it’s a known fact that Israel has a history of engaging in activities exactly like what the Syrians/Russians are alleging here. Pic related, never forget
>even if it isn't, if you are at war with somebody you must not expect them to abide by the arbitrary standards you believe they should be held to
>if your defenses are dependent upon civilian aircraft not being on approach to your airport, then the enemy will (of course) strike during that time
refute this, sandnigger lover
it doesn't matter if its propaganda or not (it obviously is, and you are too dumb to know that all news sources pull from the same press release), syria's behavior here is mere posturing and pouting after israel demonstrated that they had been able to penetrate their defenses whenever they wanted and finally did so when it pleased them
on the contrary, flying civilian aircraft in the vicinity of military assets or violent insurgents you are sheltering is irresponsible if you actually care for their safety
syria more than likely didn't care, or did it on purpose to keep those things safe, assuming (wrongly) that israel wouldn't endanger civilian craft by engaging at that time
either way, syria got played and this is simple bitching

Jews burned US sailors alive with Napalm and destroyed all the antennas on the bridge of the USS Liberty with rocket and cannons fire with the first air attack to ensure that they could murder all the men on the defenseless ship without the US sailors radioing back who the attackers really were. The skipper's commands and quick thinking evaded a massive Israeli torpedo salvo and multiple survivors attest that the sonar and acoustic engineers positively ID'd the USS Amberjack as firing platform for the torpedo that hit the USS Liberty. LBJ, the CIA and Israel had everything in place to false flag an Egyptian attack on an American ship and they failed.
The men of the USS Liberty climbed to the top of the ship's bridge, to repair the comms while being turned into 'mist' by the Bofors 40mm from the Israeli motor torpedo boats and US point defense gunners on 50 caliber machine guns were able to put down effective fire on the Israeli airplanes and torpedo boats, making high-explosive gravity bombs dropped from Israeli jet bombers miss the ship and kicking up water to throw off the firing solution for the torpedoes and suppressing the Bofors cannon gunners who were executing US sailors as they tried to climb down to life rafts.
It was their quick thinking and bravery that allowed them to restore radio contact with US Navy ships in the med and inform them that it was Israeli attackers. The intelligence ship sent encrypted recordings of Israelis discussing the attack - proving that they knew it was an American ship and it was relayed to the NSA which stopped the false flag and saved the lives of the ship which was meant to be another blood sacrifice.
Irregardless = regardful / with regard. The exact opposite of what you mean.

>Israel carried out an unprovoked Christmas Day attack against Syria oh did they ? oh i was too busy watching sports and guzzling booze and watching MSM to hear about that at all
Their anti-air cant see the difference between a fighter jet and an airline carrier lol this has to be a meme. Remembers the airliner shot in the Ukraine ow lol they really cant tell the difference. The absolute state of Russian anti-air systems.

And you can't handle that the 38 billion got blocked, so you pretend that never happened and use that number as a talking point. You cannot believe that Rand Paul blocked it.

The Ukrainian Army shot down a Russian airliner with the same system that the Syrians shot down a Russian military passenger plane recently - the SA-5. I think it's a later mid 70s model that has an active radar seeker on the warhead and it just flies for hundreds of miles and locks onto whatever comes into its path.
It's the same active guidance system that the US/UK uses on their fighter jets like the AMRAAM missile. If those got thrown around in a warzone the same thing would happen, they've only been used ten times and once was a friendly fire incident on a blackhawk helicopter.
Jackson Nelson
hope the Syrians would down a Passenger plane forcing the US to stay.

I don’t think so, user was questioning the validity of the news source. I was pointing out that no matter the legitimacy of the source, Israel has been exposed performing these types of activities before. “Irregardless of the news source...” maybe “despite” or “irrespective” would have been a better choice
I never said I was in favor of aid to Israel. I just think it’s a good thing when they kill Muslims.
It’s also a good thing when Muslims retaliate and kill Israelis.
