I have a big problem and don't know what to do. I think I overtrained the right side of my body and caused muscle imbalance. I think it's because I focused more on pulling with the right side especially during chin ups (since I thought it's weaker).
In the first pic your left arm looks bigger, in the second pic your right arm looks bigger, I think it's just an optical illusion
Brody Rodriguez
I do see you have a favourite side. It doesn't look muscular. I do think you have some kind of misalignment in your spine as well as your hips. Doesn't look too serious though. Nothing a couple visits to a chiropractor won't fix
Kayden Brown
/fitizen/ here. You're fine. The tucked up thing is that all of us who weight train will see the minuscule differences in ourselves and they look like HUGE problems when in reality they aren't. I had the same issue, what you want to do is 1) stop staring at yourself in the mirror so much, it's not healthy. 2) as for your workout regiman, use machines and exercises where you can operate arms individually I.E. dumbbell rows etc and when doing compounds, slow the movement down and focus on feeling the muscle you think is lacking.
You look like a hunk of man meat. I'd fuck you... no homo
Anthony Torres
well this is what it looked like before I think there's a difference in muscle on the right side >tfw zero gains though
You do know that whatever hand is dominant, that side of the body will be bigger right? (Even your foot will be a bit longer).
Dylan Sanchez
Yeah but it's gotten much worse, see
Wyatt Rodriguez
Damn dude. My ex had those same jeans. You got a nicer ass than her though.
Jace Peterson
It's the lighting, you don't look unusual. If you want to avoid training one side over the other use dumbbells or cables. That said, one side of your body is slightly larger than the other, humans aren't born perfectly symmetrical.
Henry Garcia
Just work the left side 50% more.
Charles Evans
here you can see the comparison also are those decent gains for ~8 months of training? (with over 3 month break in the middle due to injury)
Bump. Do you think it's worth it to book training with a PT at my gym for a month?
Cameron Turner
If you feel that your form is bad, sure go for it. (If you’re looking for someone to rub you down with oil after the gym... Hey!).
Luke Morales
I just need to get my muscle imbalance in check and would probably feel safer knowing someone experienced guides me
Liam Foster
nevermind checked the price and it's prohibitive. I'll just change my training to include more unilateral work and focus on the left side
Matthew Reyes
bump
Colton Bailey
Looks to me like an imbalance. Honest answer is to keep lifting and do bilateral work instead of unilateral and within a month or three you'll look normal.
Jeremiah Ross
Mate, everyone gets that way when they work out as a hobby and not super serious protein shaking it up every night after work. But it balances out: My right pectoral is larger than my left, but my left shoulder is larger than my right; my left tricep is larger than my right, but my right bicep is larger than my left. Don't worry too much about it.
Adam Barnes
I've been training bilaterally, but I think I put more strength in using the right side. So I'm actually going to switch to unilateral exercises now to even this out.
Ayden Hill
Is it possible that it's scoliosis that became so much worse in 1 year? or maybe just hips alignment + overdeveloped lat on the right side pulling the torso down?
Evan Anderson
Most of pts dont know shit and you can learn more and faster from yt
Scoliosis in lower thoracic, probably caused by one leg longer than other or bad feet aligntment
Not a professional
Levi Ortiz
i cant notice anything lol
Xavier Rivera
How is it possible that it got worse that fast? I do have bad feet alignment, one foot is severely pronated and the other supinated, feet defect getting worse recently, but still it's strange that it would cause such rapid change in the spine? You don't think it's muscle imbalance?
