Off the grid American freedom thread

my family and a few others got tired of playing politics and just waiting to be replaced.
so we decided a while ago to move deep into the american wilderness in a geographic spot that would be impossible for authorities to find by satellite or foot.

Is food producting enough? What about water?

You subhuman baboon. You literal nigger.

How dare you speak, you swarthy jungle monkey. How dare you open your big lipped, rim encrusted, menthol cigarette smelling mouth?

You are human trash, Stephen Klaus LeShawn de Maradona. Universally despised, derided and mocked. Your nationality and skin tone offers no hope to the world that Western Civilization can ever prosper. Crawl back in to the Brazilian jungle you came out of, you literal orangutan.

I hope you decide to drive your grandfathers camero down to mexico and rape some sheep, as is in the negroes nature. It would still be the whitest pussy you ever had. Give Pablo and Paco a chance for some target practice, your sole use to the world. Americans obsession with a few windswept islands in the Atlantic is hilarious but sad. Coincidentally its the only worthwhile contribution America has made to the medical field. The MUH FREEDOM sentiment in the average negro American is both an early warning sign of autism in children, and early on set Alzheimer's in adults.

Take your black hairy fingers off your keyboard, and never talk about the human species again, you mockery of our supposed shared ancestor.. No amount of olive oil and wheat flour slabbed on your face every morning will make you white. It's about as delusional of an idea as your daydreams of European heritage.

You nigger.

You make Bolivia look like a beacon of civilisation.

You are the Baltimore of North America.

Go fertilise the great plains with you and your families corpses, its the best you can hope for in life. For the first time in your life, nigger, you have a job making food for beings vastly superior to yourself. Canadian cattle. Coincidentally, it would be the first time an American "man" provided for a family.

Die, Diego. No one would miss you. Except for Australian Aboriginals, who now would have no one to make them look good.

Why the fuck would you want to live in a barrel? You can live comfy off grid in a big trailer no problem.

Would be tiny and inferior in design to even amateur log cabins.

How many people are you in total?
What are your estimations of growth/reproduction over time?
What sort of governance will you apply?
What distribution of skillsets do you have?
Good luck op.

Just had a drunken deranged veteran show up on my property lost at night in a huge 6 wheel tractor thing pulling a trailor, said he's my new neighbor and is going to build a home. OK, I guess.

if you grow grains that can last years dry and learn how to smoke and salt meat.

cant really move a trailer inbetween deep forest. but you can haul all the materials for pic related

a wood burning stove/ cornish stove / masonry heater is your best friend for off the grid living. heat, light, water boiling and cooking all in one.

also mine can heat up or cool down in the span of seconds compared to yours probably taking hours.
we make sure to have enough dried meats preserved and grains for several months.
and we have medical trained people and their supplies and we always have the option of sending a guy into town.

Biogas is kind of a waste of time. Making it safe and clear of hydrogen sulfide is difficult. Keeping the pressure up and the microbes in balance is a lot of work. Just use wood. Outdoor kitchens during the summer. You can convert a gas hot water tank to a wood fired unit very cheaply. Just need to monitor it and keep the water cut off and the vessel open via a t in the hot line near the hot outlet. Get a mixing valve, open it up and boil that bitch to 180. Either choke the fire or scoop out the coals and close it and use it. Bigger the tank the better. Only safe way to get pressurized hot water from wood I know of and it's cheap. Can be done under 300.

And mine can fit a family, while yours if for going solo.

I wish my shed was this comfy. My wife would never see me again!

Do you have unlimited funds for the equipment and supplies for all that shit? You'll need it.

>impossible for authorities to find by satellite or foot.
Good luck when the packs of roving niggers find you after the government collapses and uses your hideout as a rape den to fuck your wife and daughters senseless with BBC before beheading them and you and fucking nobody is able to help you, have the global civil wars taught you nothing? doomsday innawoods is fine but unless you have others with you as a small community then it's a death sentence.

I checked once that this would cost about $500 to put together. I didn't check how nutritious it was so that's a judgement call.

there is a ethod for tree farming, it's replacing the ones you cut with new ones, it's more complex than this, but you get the idea, also some varietys of trees are more optimal for wood while others are mor optimal for producing stuff that serves for food or habitat for animals. Also some chikens wouldn't hurt to have, maybe even pigs or goats or sheeps. Cattle can save your ass, and horses for hunting, and bow and arrows for self sufficient farming. Also learning to make metal.

DO NOT BUILD A HOME WITH TIRES
it creates a toxic gas that will kill you.

The tires are a fucking meme, I've met earthship owners, they can off gas for more than a year making it unlivable.

How are you supposed to obtain more cooking oil? Is there a good substitute or a way to make it yourself?

Now this thread is getting interesting thanks user

a ton of plants and nuts and seeds can produce oil.

Attached: item_XL_10086511_12283189.jpg (391x500, 21K)

Grow it, a little metal fabrication and a brake press, swap out the bottlejack for a stronger one and you can press your own oils.

>cooking oil
You do know you can use lard/grease/animal fat for cooking right? Christ muricans....

so wait a moment.. I keep my off season set of wheel [tires mounted on rims] in my living room. they are in plastic bags am I killing myself? I literally sleep a foot away from them..

animal fat, alternatively have your own olives and make oil

Seems like way too much effort to build as opposed to a traditional log cabin. With that said, how are you producing electricity? And how are you able to access the internet?

Every family I know of that left the city to raise their family "off the grid" returned to the city. Usually the second generation of that wants to move to the city.

Even these people that lived in a yurt in Alaska. Their children are now going to college in California and becoming fru fur liberals.

And that was when the ATF decided you were their business.

Are you retarded ? You do realise that it's impossible to find a spot that you can't find by foot or by satellite ?

I bet your name is grant.
Anyway, thats a really shitty prison capsule you have.

Going to assume where you are is very cold especially in winter - how does pic related hold up? What do you do for heat?

>I'll never ride around town on my motorcycle with an RPG and cool shades
Why even live?

Hmmmm Aussies don't say "trailer" they say caravan. That's weird hmmm

small solar panels or little windmills and watermills that feed into a battery for led lights. id imagine we could get a little raspberry pi media center set up also but i'm not sure, im not the electrician. but we don't have internet in the woods. if we need to use the internet youd send a guy into town for that.
except that we are living peacefully out of everyone's way while an unimaginable amount of drugs and weapons and criminals come over the boarder yearly.
we are literally the least of their worries.
good luck getting more than 1% of Americans to even attempt this let alone commit to it.
wood burning stove/ cornish stove / masonry heater and some thick blankets and a dog or woman will help keep you warm also.

Attached: 13658841_1047319815364822_834265536_n.jpg (320x320, 35K)

Solar panels need constant care are are supposed to be changed every 5 years or so depending on the quality of the manufacture.

Batteries die out after enough use and their capacity constantly decreases.

How will you replace them ? If you go to buy new ones in the town that doesn't count as "living off the grid"

fpbp

Internet is not a requirement to live user.
Having said that, I pay 50 bucks a month for an unlimited at&t hotspot.10-20 Mbps and it really is unlimited. It's a lease on a business sim card.

you're right we should build a battery factory in the middle of the woods.
and i said small solar panels. meaning cheap and easy to replace so no problem.

Attached: 1534704581837.png (1038x585, 1.02M)

I dunno about you cunts, but if it was me Id be looking for a real long term building that would sustain a few hundred years of weathering, be cool in the summer and warm in the winter. And made our of readily available material that I dont have to pay for and can be assembled without elctro/mechanical power.
>What is Rammed Earth?
Its the fucking best.

Legal as long as you don't sell it or cross state lines. That's why 80% are legal.

>you're right we should build a battery factory in the middle of the woods.

No, the right answer is you'd learn to build a battery. They are in fact rather easy to build.

>and i said small solar panels. meaning cheap and easy to replace so no problem.

By going to a town and buying it ? wow, amazing living off the grid

>move deep into the american wilderness
so you're doing what endangered species soon to be extinct do
run to the hills
run for your life
mmmmm.....

Complete uninformed horse shit user.
Most panels are rated and gauranteed for 25 years and that's 80% output at the end. They have solar panels over 50 years old still working.

Batteries do wear out but with good care and light use you can get 20+ years out of fork truck cells.
You can also make your own. Lead and acid, via the planter method. Crude but far more robust than modern faure pasted cells.

Can you at least still get your Amazon Prime delivery's?

PERKELE

Plante method, sorry tablet posting.
Also other methods exist for making power. Like hydro or wood gas.

based and rammed earth pilled
those kindof walls are the best for long term houses and they look amazing

We have a boiler wood stove that uses a non pressurised (vented/open) system. Heats the whole house plus hot water, virtually for free. A pump, which runs off a wind turbine set up, sends the water around the house. What's nice is even in the event of pump failure, the upstairs radiators will release heat, simply by thermosyphon, preventing the system from boiling. Basically a perfect of grid set up. heritagestoves.ie/stoves/45-glenveagh-30kw-boiler-stove-black-matt.html

>Most panels are rated and gauranteed for 25 years and that's 80% output at the end. They have solar panels over 50 years old still working.

Professional panels that get rated. And that is with good care (that you have no idea how to provide)

Small cheap ones that are easy to replace last 5 years and are really not rated by anything

>Batteries do wear out but with good care and light use you can get 20+ years out of fork truck cells.

Once again good care that you won't be providing.

>You can also make your own. Lead and acid, via the planter method. Crude but far more robust than modern faure pasted cells.

Which is my answer

>implying people cant buy spare panels and batteries in case one stops working.

This pasta sucks

That's not living off the grid

Seems to me you're going pretty extreme if you're not willing to divorce civilization. Why not move to a small town in Wyoming or Alaska if you're just looking to mind your own business and live in relative safety? If you're not going to go all-out with innawoods there's frankly more convenient ways to get relatively off the grid especially if you're more interested in a self-sustainable on-consumerism lifestyle.

Based and redpilled

you dont understand how electricity is made then. you need magnets and coils to make any kindof a generator. unless youre using a solar panel which doesn't use magnets but youd need a factory to make those.
now of course there's ways to get mechanical energy and heat and light from other ways. BUT electricity? nope

Dude I have solar panels going on eight years, Canadian made and 65 cents a watt. No maintenance other than occasionally washing them and swapping out the diodes in the junction box. Even my renogy Chinese panel s are fine after 5 years. No wear and tear, minor and expected drop in outputt.

Good care of batteries is easy and something anyone can do. Correct voltages given by the manufacturer for the charge controller, regular distilled watering (I do mine weekly) and a monthly equalize charge with a bit weekly minor equalize (short time like an hour). Clean the terminals and regrease them with conductive grease. Easy basic bitch shit.

Eventual and natural sulfation can be reversed by removing acid and replacing with distilled water. Lower the acid content to specific gravity of 1.15-1.2 and hard charge for 24 hours. Monitor for heat. Record the specific gravity and repeat. When it no longer rises, full charge and replace with standard battery acid or the original sg.
This is the only working method to restoring batteries. Epson salt will ruin the batteries but extend them for maybe a year. This method is used by the DoD for military vehicles and standby batteries. Although they remove theCid installer steps. Will nearly double the expected life out of batteries. I got cheap rural King golf cart batteries to last 8 years. Cycled them about 40-50%. Was still at 80% capacity when I sold them.

That was a little harsh

Why do conservatives hate america so much?

Attached: 1545222519331.jpg (500x371, 65K)

Are you fucking retarded? That's not what I wrote. I wrote that YOU ARE A GOD DAMN FUCKING RETARD for "going off the grid" and having "I'll do some shopping when I need things" as a fucking option. Guess what, if you go shopping, you fucking blew it and it's only a matter of time until you're investigated and arrested and fined for the likely many crimes and code violations you're little settlement has. So if shopping is your answer, there are much better options that don't involve fucking looking like a retard.

You are basicaly a socialist if you go off the grid but still get handouts from society like supermarkets and shit. Fuck you you commie faggot.

>You are basicaly a socialist if you go off the grid but still get handouts from society like supermarkets and shit. Fuck you you commie faggot.
You're basically an asshole if you feel the need to categorize everything.

>gets tired of spot and same scenery
>moves 700 yards further along the rocks which only takes a day
>spend 5 days clearing a path with a chainsaw so you can drive to new spot
>ranger shows up and tells you you’re trespassing on somebody’s property
Why haven’t we thought of such a great idea sooner?
