Also, here’s a quick sob story so you can see where I’m coming from here-
I’ve been dealing with this all my life. It’s something I realized was a problem many years back. Naturally, I’ve already fully transitioned, but I find it genuinely funny to see people who don’t know how gender dysphoria and body dysmorphia actually works....debate about it. Essentially, it’s something usually either caused by environmental or biological. I don’t think everyone who claims to be trans is valid. In fact, I’d say only about 30% of the trans community is actually...trans due to the trenders coming from that hellsite we all know as tumblr. I realized it was a problem before I knew what tumblr was. I realized it was a problem before transgenderism was normalized, romanticized, and made into a joke.
Of course, I know I’ll never really be male. It’s a problem and I hate it, but it’s something I can’t change. But at the least, people do talk about it now, and people can accept that it’s a problem some people have. But yeah thanks, Jow Forums.

No, because there are situations that people have a right to know your gender. If someone applies for a marriage certificate and is unaware their spouse is incapable of having children because they are genetically male or female while presenting as something different, they have a right to know.
If someone has a day spa, or massage therapy center, or other place of business where they only want to have female staff members to cater to female clients, they have a right to know.
Same for womens bathrooms and changing rooms. If you're genetically a man you should change with the men and the staff of the store or business or public pool have a right to know.
Also, if a person comes into the hospital in critical condition, the medical staff have a right to know the persons gender based off of their genetics, not their brains, in order to give them the most knowledge they would need to to successfully treat that person. Knowledge of the fact they are taking hormone pills may also be important, as it's possible that may be related to the medical problems they are experiencing. For example, if a transgender male comes into the hospital suffering from a very high fever, they might immediately check to see if sex reassignment surgery has been performed and look for any signs of infection. If they thought it was actually a woman, that might be much further down the list and cost the life of the patient as doctors struggle with a diagnosis.
So your premise that it only takes a certain degree of cosmetic modifications to nullify the argument is completely false. The genetic and internal biological functions all still matter no matter how good the cosmetics are. Transgender individuals should NEVER be allowed to change their gender "legally" for many reasons, including their own health and safety.
