How does it make sense that Exxon Mobil, the worlds leading oil producer i.e. carbon emissions, would support the notion that climate change is real? Wouldn't a company whose livelihood was based on carbon emissions actively disprove climate change?
Exxon Mobil Supports Climate Change?
Exxon mobile has spent years researching alternative energies hoping to be the first to make a big breakthrough and monopolize the shit out of it.
Imagine being the first to make commercially viable bio-diesel from algae? Affordable solar panels and proper battery tech? Your company would be so rich it wouldn't even be funny.
it's pretty hard to refute climate change if you're looking at it from a nonpolitical angle.
So does it mean they honestly believe in climate change? Or is it a ploy to garnish all that green energy investment money? I don't think they believe in climate change.
Bull fucking shit
Put up or shut the fuck up
you want results user? capitalism. don't be a Kant, results are the only thing that matter
I can see Russia/Canada being for global warming. They get to sell lots of oil/gas and they will have beachfront property in a few decades.
Climate has always changed you stupid nigger. Acting like the average person is creating climate change is nigger tier education. Dumb uneducated niggers.
Of course science refutes solar minimum / maximum cycle as a major influence on earth’s climate. Send Al Gore a check now ! Afterall he did invent the internet.
perhaps scientists should stop making it political then. or perhaps they should come up with a solution other than the west writing a check to china to build more coal plants
theyre probably in it playing both sides, or all the sides, witch ever it goes, solar, bio, etc
It makes sense. The proposed carbon tax isn't paid by them but you.
It is like how the jews were the major owners of slaves and then become the champions of blacks when the heat is on. Once you see the pattern, you see it everywhere. The goyim know
Because carbon taxes don't affect oil companies. And oil companies benefit from globalism, so they push the globalist climate scam to create a global tax and world government.
Both sides and the middle too
yes pls explain
1. It deflects flak and could stave off lawsuit from some liberal empire builder with his legal team fund in the infinite pocket of Uncle Sam
2. ExxonMobil is heavily invested in lighter liquids and heavier gas. Natural gas produces half the emissions of coal so it's a natural transition if carbon tax becomes a thing.
3. The leaking of documents last year put them a in a rough spot so they basically have to say it exists (see #1).
>t. oilman (not Exxon)
Well if they were owned by people who also owns banks who own the IMF who make predatory loans to third world countries to battle climate change who use their natural resources as collateral for the loans they will inevitably default on it actually makes a lot of sense .
Because they're an American company, Ergo they're protected from most of the ramifications of oil price drops as they import and refine a drastic amount. I work in the oil and gas sector here in Canada, we have 1/4 of the world's reserves but we are getting pennies on the dollar for our oil because American oil companies are funding anti-oil groups and climate change groups. The result of this is Canadian oil being labeled dirty.
>Lobby for restrictions that choke out competitors while staying afloat
>Dominate market
>Profit
It’s not unlike Amazon lobbying for higher min wage. Small businesses can’t keep up with that, and at the end of the day, only Amazon will stand.
It's pretty hard to believe in man made climate change if you approach it from a non political viewpoint.
You guys are fucked for the future. No refineries and shitty export terminal capacity means no profit on the downswing and only a decent return on the upswing. I did a stint up in the Mackenzie River delta (holy fuck it sucked) and we found even if the infrastructure were there the breakeven's in the $80-90/bbl range.
>releasing tons of gases in the air is not harmfull
Exxon is the World's #1 Uranium supplier. Their Gas wells also make explosives using nitrates for the DOD.
Ever wonder how Rex Tillersen got to be head of the DOE under Trump?
Whered he go?
Was he the Russian connection?Exxon will get Anwar now with China.
Dont be Venezuela, build refineries. Oil aint goin away anytime soon. Dont be guilt tripped into being a sucker.
Had to switch to PC to finish writing this..
The result of this currently is WTI (West Texas Intermediate) is selling at, 85$/Barrel, and WCS (Western canada select) is selling at 40$/barrel, which is only up now because the Alberta government put a cap on production last month.
Our government is pressured (and probably bribed) to continue blocking pipelines that would allow Alberta to get their oil to international docks, ergo the only real purchaser of our oil continues to be the USA.
TLDR; Exxon supports oil change because they get to buy everyone elses oil for cheap and then sell it refined at market value.
The left should think about this before they spout their noxious conspiracy theories
co2 diminishing returns after a certain ppm.
I work in the Oil and gas sector, and let me tell you. Anyone who denies climate change is an idiot.
But heres the thing, climate change has been happening for as long as the world has been around. We are currently classified as being at the "end" of the last major ice age, we are entering a warming period. Are humans quickening this pace? Definitely, but the world naturally goes through hot and cold cycles.
You stupid kike.... 95% of all CO2 released into the atmosphere is from a handful of corporations. Stupid like nigger....
Canadian oil is less profitable to refine than light sweet crude and requires a higher per barrel marketprice to break even.
Let me clarify 95% of CO2 released by humans comes from a handful of corporations.
Follow the money
In 2017, an estimate of approximately 573 million metric tons of carbon dioxide were emitted here. With a share of around 1.7 percent in global CO2 emissions, Canada is one of the ten largest emitters of carbon dioxide worldwide
Using the same calculation, the “Big Four” polluters of China, the U.S., the European Union, and India, which together are responsible for a whopping 60 per cent of global CO2 emissions
they are making tons of money now and using a lot of it to figure out how to patent something to make them tons of money later. how old are you?
Diamond syndacate behaviour. Artificially make your product scarce and profit
This is true, a large part of Canadian Oil, is mixed heavily with a fine sand. This is known as "OilSands" They have to use Steam and chemicals to break apart the "Bitumen"
But, there is also In-Situ "SagD" mining here. Large pipes pump steam into the ground that melts the oil out, and then they pump out the raw oil. It costs a lot less, and is even cleaner then OilSand, and is still sold for this same discounted price.
I mean hell, why do you think Imperial Oil (Owned by Exxon) recently sold off its Syncrude sites in Alberta Canada? Now Suncor has to foot the cost, and still sell the oil to Exxon for a reduced rate.
>climate change real
They can charge more because muh environment while restricting supply more stretching out how long they can rape this planet before suddenly discovering the next meme energy they can charge you for. Tesla had this all worked out and we should have free energy but no. I wonder (((who))) was behind that
Financial fuckery, whoos to blame ?
You kvetch about the yellow flowers on the dandelion, i want the root.
Our retarded government for allowing foreign governments to meddle in our affairs so drastically.
That's it goym!
Climate change isn't real. No need to investigate who's benefiting from your denial. Just keep funding our empire until we invent and monopolize the next big source of energy.
The “ inconvienient truth “ is its the fucking jews gaming the system and they need to be eliminated from the earth. I dont like it any more than you do, bit that is what needs to be done.
Them or you, choose, survivor writes history
That's it, goy. Forget everything that was said here.
