Myself. Ask me for any philosophy and i will deliver
Cameron Gonzalez
Karl Marx. He developed his views off of philosophers such as Hegel with dialectics, and developed historical materialism and dialectical materialism. And, also criticized capitalism as having contradictions that make capitalism unstable and unsustainable.

Start with these. Be careful with Nietzsche, don't start with Zaratustra, read geneology of morals or beyond good and evil first

Diego Fusaro, Italian modern day philosopher, REAL National Socialist, blames Soros for the amount of degeneracy in Europe, has written many successful books that are translated in English and the book he recently published (The new erotic order) literally says that trans "people" aren't to be considered mentally stable and that a catholic marriage between a white man and a white woman should be at the very center of society, he still hasn't busted a nut, at least with his gf, because he wants to wait until marriage
Elijah Taylor
Epicurus wasn't a fucking stoic, he was a degenerate

Why was Epicur a degenerate? And yes, he wasn't a stoic, obviously.
There are modern philosophers worth reading, despite their political views. For example, ''Simulation and Simulacrum'' by Baudrillard, etc
Logan Nguyen
Seconding this post but add Aquinas.

I'd start with Anselm, I don't want to recommend shit like scholasticism to a beginner

Ive not really studied Epicurus' reasonment but it basically just revolves around the whole "Carpe Diem" idea which is often misinterpreted by modern-day degenerates who translate it into "lets destroy ourselves with drugs, smoke, alcohol, non-stop sex and poor knowledge of pretty much everything"
Xavier Phillips
>Mozart
listen to Liszt, at least he wasn't scatophilic
Oliver Robinson
I hate nazis and their ideology, but I heard that Mein Kampf also has some pretty reasonable philosophical considerations in it. Can someone non-88 redpill me on that?

Rudolf Steiner. Anyone willing to read and meme him would do the culture a service.

You should read everything everyone has mentioned to get a frame of reference. This will take years.
But an honest acertation of what is best for you in terms of applied philosophy will lead you to Aristotle and Ayn Rand.

Stop wasting time and read, moron
David White
I do. I'm getting my PhD in philosophy.
Asher Perez
I used to be an Objectivist, when I was like 12, and a libertarian/classical liberal until I was 20.
Rand's not taken seriously for two reasons:
1. She's a libertarian (even if she didn't admit it) and the academy are lefties who don't like reading libertarians.
2. (FAR more importantly) she was a bad philosopher - she was not academically trained, didn't know what she was talking about, and argued badly.
Luis Rivera
Replace him with Peter Abelard. Now breath.
Chase Jones
abelard was a fucking eunuch. your favorite philosopher had no balls you brazilian greasemonkey
Samuel Ramirez
So what? I read their books. While you're concerned about what happened to them. It's hard to believe someone will write anything worth it with such childish behavior.
Jose Russell
you read abelard? what are you - a medieval phil professor? nobody fucking reads abelard, it's a waste of time unless you're working your way through a medieval phil anthology
nigga i just got my second journal submission published
Jeremiah Lopez
Do you write in one of those retarded white supremacist KKK journals? That's the only platform for you.
Jayden Gonzalez
'philosophy and public affairs'
Cooper Cook
I’m about to read stirner. Am I retarded?
Nicholas Torres
1. True, which causes a contradiction in your second point.
2. All of the worst philosophers were academically trained. Literally I'm to point where the extent to which a philosopher is academically trained is the extent to which I expect them to be a terrible human being.
Also
>I was objectivist when I was 12
No, you weren't.
Kevin Wood
I adore the works of Henry David Thoreau, though I seem to be the minority in that regard.
Samuel Fisher
Stirner is not worth reading unless you are:
a. An edgelord leftie or libertarian (in which case yes, you're retarded)
b. Doing extremely niche scholarship on 19th century German thought after Hegel
I would not recommend Stirner assuming you have more important, more foundational works in philosophy to read first, which, given that you're on Jow Forums, you probably do.
In general I'd recommend starting with classical thought. Get a Presocratic reader - the Patricia Curd one is good-, then read some Platonic dialogues (Euthyphro, Phaedo, Crito, Symposium, Apology, Timaeus, in no particular order, but definitely include the Republic), then Aristotle (Categories, Physics, Metaphysics, De Anima, Nicomachean Ethics, Politics), then get a Hellenistic reader (Inwood and Gerson is best).
Medieval philosophy is cool but nobody cares about it. If you want to spend time here, it's worthwhile, but so niche that hardly anybody cares. Read Augustine, St. Anselm, Aquinas, Ockham, and Nicholas of Cusa. This is optional but fun.
(Early) Modern: Descartes (Meditations), Spinoza (Ethics), Leibniz (get a reader with some of his longer essays, like Monadology). Read Locke (Essay, Second Treatise, Letter on Toleration) and Hume (both of the Enquiries).
Kant and German Idealism: Kant is most important (read: Prolegomena, all three Critiques, Groundwork of the Metaphysics of Morals, Metaphysics of Morals, Perpetual Peace, What is Enlightenment?, History from a Cosmopolitan Point of View). Fichte (Wissenschaftslehre, Natural Right, Addresses to the German Nation), Schelling (this is hard because he has so many writings - I'd recommend reading selections from the System of Transcendental Idealism, the Naturphilosophie, the Essay on Human Freedom, Positive Philosophy, and the Historical-Critical Introduction to the Philosophy of Mythology). Finally Hegel (Phenomenology of Spirit, Science of Logic, Philosophy of History, Philosophy of Right).
William Garcia
1. What's the contradiction.
2. If you think that all of the experts in a field are the worst people at that field, maybe you're just retarded.
3. Yes, I got really into Rand in middle school.
Easton Ramirez
he's the worst of the american transcendentalists. emerson is way better, except for being a lincolnite fag
Ryan Wilson
Mason Turner
Justin Roiland

HEGEL IS A NIGGER
Jordan Robinson
1. If you can't understand the contradiction, then sorry. You're beyond help.
2. Not an argument.
3. Watching a YouTube video does mean you understood a philosophical framework .
Nicholas Cruz
Marx's relationship to Hegel is a retarded meme that Marx's have emphasized in order to lend Marxism more intellectual heft. The similarities are for the most part things that are implicit in German idealism (and oftentimes just 19th c. European thought) in general, stuff that Fichte and others already said.
Hegel himself was a political conservative.
Jaxson Clark
lots o' commie memeflags at 7:41am, Atlantic time.

Kys Epicurus was ass
Daniel Cooper
um... he was definitely a transcendentalist
Whether he was also a 'naturalist' is open-ended because 'naturalism' refers to a bunch of different philosophical positions. But he was a part of the Transcendentalist movement
Michael Jenkins
It’s a political analysis of the austro Hungarian empire, autobiography, and anti-Marxist polemic that also touches on some party politics and marketing. Philosophically it assumes knowledge of Hegel and on.

>What is work? Work is of two kinds: first, altering the position of matter at or near the earth's surface relatively to other such matter; second, telling other people to do so. The first one is unpleasant and ill paid; the second is pleasant and highly paid.
Moral philosopher David Rachels. who BTFO the idea of moral subjectivism with the very simple proof that this belief implies moral infallibility, which is impossible.
Levi Watson
>Bertrand Russel
he was a socialist, naive empiricist, atheist, utilitarian, and a proto-positivist
