> President Donald Trump made his first visit to a war zone on Wednesday, receiving an enthusiastic reception from many US troops there -- some of whom may have run afoul of military rules.
> But troops' requests for the autographs could brush up against Department of Defense guidelines for political activities. Those guidelines say that "active duty personnel may not engage in partisan political activities and all military personnel should avoid the inference that their political activities imply or appear to imply DoD sponsorship, approval, or endorsement of a political candidate, campaign, or cause."
> US military authorities in the coalition did not immediately respond to CNN's request for comment.
> Retired Rear Adm. John Kirby, a former Obama administration spokesperson and a CNN analyst, said on CNN's "The Situation Room" on Wednesday that service members having Trump sign the items was inappropriate.
>US military authorities in the coalition did not immediately respond to CNN's request for comment.
Gee a bunch of base commanders not interested in letting journalists politicize the men under the command to attack a sitting President? How unexpected.
Ryan Young
"The intermingling of politics and the military is alright when we do it"
>former Obama cucksucker >CNN shill Lel. Being a faggot nigger is a violation of military rules now that tranny dog was shown the door.
Mason Hill
Showing support for a sitting President is not partisan. The path of office includes allegiance to POTUS, explicitly. Any thing short of publicly saying, "vote for candidate X" is permissible. Tell schlomo to get fucked.
Jason Thomas
>some cadets at ASU think they're embarassing the entire Army >The entire fucking Army had to do that shit. I remember that day, holy shit.
Landon Nguyen
To be fair everyone in the navy is a fag
Christian Ortiz
>pink high heels >her shoes No one forces roasties to wear such shoes. They're doing that for sexual signaling and raising the value of their bodies for the purpose of milking men of their money. It's basically sexual harassment and fraud with targeting and exploiting natural male reproduction instincts.
The ADF is one of worst run government organs. You get better service from Centrelink than that farce of a military.
Adrian Gomez
>DRUMPF DIDN'T VISIT THE TROOPS, HE HATES THE TROOPS! >Okay, Trump did visit the troops. BUT HE SIGNED THEIR HATS!
The absolute state of the Judenpresse.
Jacob Butler
Lmao I was honestly wondering how they would spin his trip to make it a bad thing. I wonder if it will work
Levi Wilson
Does it ever work?
Ayden Torres
>may have >inappropriate because its Trump and don’t like him
hard hitting journalism right there. Is it a violation or not? Simple yes or no question.
Can’t wait for the next batch of civies that start acting like experts on military code of conduct
Isaac King
I wonder when liberals will come for the selfies with the president as well. The troops will eventually have to stand at attention and not show any emotion during a special occasion. Sickening.
Oh. I watched the whole thing. I still wasn’t sure if they even decided it was a violation or not. I did get a little bored though when the ugly woman was talking though so I googled something else.
And yet active generals talking shit against the commander in chief is just fine. Kirby can suck my asshole. Nothing more corrupt than retired high up military. Theyve always cut deals so they get cushy high paying jobs when they get out.
Noah Butler
Lol that rule is invalidated completely by the fact that the JAG answers to the commander and chief
Wyatt Kelly
>wanting the presidents signature is partisan Wew
Then how is taking a picture with him also not partisan?
And this is why you get orders in writing. If given that order I would demand it in writing signed by someone over me then promptly goto legal cause its bullshit. Im calling bs too on the guy who claimed he was forced. If he felt forced then he has no buisness being ROTC cause he cant think for himself, a trait neccessary for a good leader.
Joseph Ward
>frog flag > cites CNN article
I'll take you have zero idea about the subject for 300
Kevin Martin
>which
10/10 i see what you did there
John Richardson
He's not a political candidate, he's the president of their fucking country. The media is so goddamn treasonous.
Matthew Carter
>(((CNN))) stirring shit Same thing different day.
>> But troops' requests for the autographs could brush up against Department of Defense guidelines for political activities. He's THE commander and chief. FFS, when will the retardation end?
Jayden Cox
Actually no, supporting the president isn't partisan politics, it's an expectation due to the fact that he's our boss. We had to deal with the Obama shit suckers now they can deal with some Trump fans.
Grayson Harris
B-b-but I though troops loved tranny dog Mattis
Nathaniel Ward
The problem is that the media didnt run interference for obama. People will probably get in trouble regardless now
Really theyre just asshurt about getting told.com with their ridiculous coverage of "first president not to visit on christmas"
Christopher Bennett
Perhaps it’s the fact that they are asking for an autograph on one of Trump’s hats, thus clearly showing a political slant.
Angel Morales
Minor correction >Saying the DoD endorses X candidate That's where the line is.
Landon Russell
>thus clearly The hats are iconic, nothing indicates partisanship
I fucking hate obama but it would be cool to have him sign some campaign shit for the historical value
Camden Jones
I'm a defense contractor and just last week they sent out an office wide email about the hatch act about all federal employees (and I think DOD serviceman?) from publicly endorsing or showing support or not showing support. They like really spelled it out and said that if it came up in a discussion about what was happening politically and we wanted to discuss the presidents actions then we could. But if we wanted to have "make America great again" on our desk then we couldn't or if we had a #resist sticker on our desk then we couldn't. The first thing I thought when I saw this whole fiasco was that email. I'm pretty sure they sent out the email because there's two Trump fans who are way over the top and one has a huge ass flag campaign flag in his office and some other dude has some campaign picture in this big gold frame that has to cost at least $80. Troops see their support for the sitting president is not the same as endorsing campaign materials.
Christopher Ross
I doubt it, I had a MSgt over me who had a black power fist on her FB profile and went to BLM rallies and made no effort to hide her affiliations. That won't stop, the only people who get punished in the military are whites and others who command can't ignore.
Andrew Rogers
oh pfft this is retarded. By that logic them smiling near him is political activity.
>Muhrine Go suck a dick faggot. At least we have nukes.
Luis Long
also, who else remembers the navy seals driving around with a trump flag
And you did not report her? She didnt get punished because everyone in what ever faggot job has nigger women in positions of authority over them was too cucked to fucking say shit to the right people.
Jayden Adams
>implying not Navy >implying you have more nukes than we
>airforce oh is that what msgt? fucking kek I just woke up and didnt realize it. WHAT A FUCKING FAGGOT. stands double now.
Hunter Gray
easy now squid how are you going to push the nuke button if I disable your hand?
Charles Reed
We did actually, in 2016 we got an memo regarding political activism and the shirt walked around handing it out. When some of us pointed out her FB activity he told us not to worry about it
>Implying the Navy is any less gay We both know the Navy catches and the Marines pitch
Kevin Scott
this is why many people don't listen to them anymore.
Jacob White
While I'm not trying to defend it here, those are ROTC students. They're not guaranteed to actually join the military and the OIC got relieved of duty. That being said it doesn't mean the US military isn't filled with poz.
This is a bit of a fucking stretch in logic. Getting something sign by a president can obviously be construed as getting a challenge coin from a general or a colonel. Remember that the president is the commander in chief of the military, their highest authority. Getting their hat signed is not partisan political activity, engaging protests or parades dedicated to a partisaned position is. CNN with those non-issues again.
so its more of that anarcho tyranny stuff the elites can betray their own country and sell out right and left but holy moly one military dude gets its hat signed by that ebil orange man bad ...thats outragous.
Fuck that gay shit.
Jack Anderson
For anybody who wants to check out the specific verbiage for the DOD directive that refers to political activities by members of the armed forces esd.whs.mil/Portals/54/Documents/DD/issuances/dodd/134410.p.pdf What do you guys think? Anything in here violated?
Jack Parker
cuck you gotta go higher than what ever the fuck a shirt is (sounds flamboyant) and fight dirty.
Lucas Wilson
Throw every fucking troop in prison for supporting this traitor. He sold our country out to Russia and suppirting him is treason.
Luis Green
>former Obama administration spokesperson and a CNN analyst, said Why the fuck does google want me to identify all these tractors? Are they going to droid strike them when tshtf? GLORY TO NASIM DEATH TO THE DEMONESS GOOGLE
