I study the Abrahamic religions as a hobby (I am an Atheist) I really enjoy reading through scripture and learning the difference between the history of the Bible and the narrative within it. That being said, I do not believe that it is as great as the OP claims. There are simply better books out there that can teach you the same thing as the good parts.
