Do NOT buy the trades meme

trying to enter the skilled trades is like trying to become a master in the occult. the fact that the freemasons used to be a stonecutters trade union should tell you this. the skills are occult by definition(hidden knowledge). they are kept hidden by the tradesmen themselves to artificially inflate their value and create a labor shortage. the more niche and obscure the skill is, the more valuable it is and the harder it is to learn. powerful trade unions have made it impossible to do anything without a shit ton of ridiculous certifications. its intended to make most people say "fuck this" and give up trying to build a career. the companies complain of a shortage of tradesmen. there is and its created by the tradesmen themselves to ensure their wages are high regardless of the socioeconomic conditions. thats why they did well during the fall of rome, the dark ages and the great depression. there are even "bloodlines" since the best jobs are handed down through nepotism. all the basic jobs pay shit and boomers like mike rowe are full of it.

>hidden knowledge
>on shit you can look up how to do on the fucking internet

do we have two different definitions of "skilled trade"?

Trade certifications and apprenticeships are quite easy to find.
You are quite wrong about this.
Freemasons have spread their knowledge of trades so much that you cant even tell.
They taught the world to work with stone, metal, and wood.
Its easier than ever to join the freemasons also...
Leveling up in freemasonry isnt the worst idea if you want a trade job but to say they intentionally monopolize the information is false.
I have personal friendships with independent plumbers, electricians, carpenters, welders, and a stone Mason guy.
Permitting processes are slow because of left wing city officials but aren't that bad anyway.

The purpose of learning a trade is to have a fallback when your own business fails dum dum

Trades separate the men from the boys so to speak. If you won't work hard, think on your feet, etc. you won't make it. Most "trade" stuff is improvisation. I'm a mechanic, and I can consistently beat book labor times, at worst match them. How? Aside from LOTS of tools/tricks, you have to be able to say "I'd rather take the long way to reach part X because going in the standard way involves touching this rotted/fucked up part that I don't want to touch/move". You have to be able to look at a part and figure out the fastest way to remove it, and regroup if needed (seized parts/etc). I can look at most sensors on a car and know just by memory the general wave-form they should create, and how to test them.

Trades also have a long incubation period. You will be doing 100% shit work for shit wages for 1-3 years before you even touch something worth learning. In my field you mount tires and dump oil. Master that, and then we can talk about other stuff. Most fail to complete this procedure.

I'm 27 BTW.

>righty-tighty, lefty-loosey

Ha!

I wanted to be a lumberjack until I learned about how they all act like hustlers and tree pimps, shooting up eachother's homes over access rights.

Ridiculous certifications?
You mean training to prove that you know what you're doing and aren't going to be a danger to yourself or anyone else?

No the wages are better because you actually need to be competent, and consistent.
By the sounds of it you do not like those standards. I am in construction operating heavy equipment, the pay is good, but yes finding the next generation willing to work their way up is near impossible. They seem to think they should be top dollar, and having their own rigs to operate in their first month. That is not how it works.I had years of working to get to the top of my field.
Also they love to ignore you while training saying they know. At that point I tell them to set up, and they never can the right, and safe way.

>Thats your fault
I'm not a tradie, but I have relatives who are/were. People pushing the trade meme never mention the life-shortening realities. Why do you think kikes get the goyim to do trades for them, meanwhile they're drinking Christian infant blood to live past 100? Working a trade is a good way to cuck yourself for (((them))).

All the healthiest and fittest folk in my family are men in trades since they re 18-s all still going strong in their 70s and 80s.

In fact the people who had health issues are mostly my parent generation so 40-50 year olds who are office workers

They went into trades because they were already healthy and strong.

Just accept the fact you are a regularly bloke like your father and grandfather and go work in the steelworks or coal mine for good but not great pay

Join the union, go on strike once in a while to ensure conditions for the next generation and take a redundancy payout when offered one after age 50

No memes, no jewery. Go fishing on the weekend and enjoy some beers with your friends

I like you user. ASE Master tech who recently left the field for a forklift company. Either way, flagging 70 hours a week is no small task, newfags want the pay, but bitch about rotating tires and less than 10% do anything to better themselves.

>youre already healthy and strong when youre 18
No shit, faggit.

That looks like a 1-2hp bridgeport mill. I have an associate in metal machining and numerical control from an accredited college. It took me 2 years to finish courses, basically 3 courses a semester, which is nothing. You can't do 3 courses a week? like maximum 4 hours a course? I also have cam courses for basic mills. also engine lathes. it's not bullshit. i have a small business that I created where I get work every week to deburr parts from the previous machining job I used to work for.

>everyone is healthy and strong at age 18

Attached: 1524634232549.jpg (874x660, 119K)

The trades are the last professions with zero bullshit, at least when it comes to performance and maintaining the job. If you’re good at what you do, are professional, and don’t rip people off you will keep good business. If not, word usually gets around and you won’t get as much work. At least in the construction trades it’s this way

Skilled trades are not locked away OP. It takes years to learn a trade, think the 10,000 hour rule. Most people under 30 are just use to instant gratification, put time in, perfect your craft and profit. I'm 31 and make 70,000.00 a year, no college, just entered new field, don't be a fag - suck it up and learn something.

Imagine being one of these ASE rats, surrounded by trash colleagues everyday.. ripping people off for a living

Being a certified mechanic working for a dealership or chain must be hell on earth. You're literally a thief and an overall piece of shit to boot

That's a nice mill. Want

>powerful trade unions have made it impossible to do anything without a shit ton of ridiculous certifications. its intended to make most people say "fuck this" and give up trying to build a career

First of all, most machining apprenticeships aren't union.(I bring that up since you have a pic of a milling machine). I did a 4 year apprenticeship and stayed in the trade for a decade before going to a union factory as an apprentice millwright. You are just a cunt that doesn't think he has to put his time in. 30 years old, and half the time I was fetching coffee and tools for the real millwrights. 13 years later, and I finished out this year at 109k at that place.

>Inb4 LOL ONLY 109K U SHUD BE RETRD AT 27 LIEK ME

Dem some legit tittays

pls post plans. as a reference, not that anyone would actually make it...especially me.

Attached: 1544057904070.jpg (656x898, 130K)

Are apprenticeships easy to find? I know of a few people who didn't go to college that weren't able to find anything. Only warehouse work, so they're all poor alcoholics with terrible home lives. But, it was in earlier 2000s, so maybe the boomers are freeing some jobs up.

Found the dumb lazy nigger that couldnt make the cut

So you failed a written test and failed out of a program? Better luck next time. Carpentry is more than a meme.

school helps when trying to get employment. you have some influence in what you want to get. for instance many new employees get sent to nightshift, but if you have something on paper that shows you are above average, you can say you are only looking for dayshift, and when your resume is stacked against others, having something better than nothing is nice, especially if you want to start in such trade. too many people I say in college who want to get into a trade but not put ANYTHING into it, nevermind taking college courses, they don't even want to pay for quality tools. college was bad because there were like maybe 3 or 4 out of 30 who were actually trying to learn, the rest just took the classes because of federal student aid gibs. I have seen mothers, people in their 60's in machining class who don't show up until the last day and get either a c or a fail. one girl tried to come on the last day but the teacher was having none of it.

Attached: school.jpg (1094x502, 118K)

It's called the learning curve dipshit.

btw just because you took machining classes doesn't mean you can only become a machinist, you can become inspection, hell you can work in some other trade completely and if you have related coursework they might hire you. it's happened to many people i know, one who works for raytheon, one who makes props for a movie studio, one who is in a completely different trade but is manufacturing oriented. having nothing on your resume sucks balls. even if you never graduated high school, take some courses you fuckheads, of course, nobody is going to hire you with just a blank sheet of paper and just the previous jobs you worked for.

Math and having a work ethic isn't hidden knowledge, you lazy nigger. Learn how to capitalize letters, then come back when you aren't so retarded and useless.

also with any trade, learn your foundation first. even if you fail it is something you can fall back onto and learn. like that one user said, this shit has a learning curve, and you will be laughed at by your coworkers initially, but everything starts there at first. learn from your mistakes.

ASE is overrated; but my shop pays more for them, so I pass the tests.

btw all those classes were less than a grand with books and parking permits. these idiots getting a student loan debt for like 70k. how that is possible is beyond me.

a lot of trades need to be deregulated and racially diversified, not even joking, fuck their doctors salaries for relatively simple jobs

it's one of the main reasons why the west is so cucked, because these half wits get work building houses and apartments

I make six digits driving a truck and dont pay rent

i do the same but im a landlord and collect rent

Whatever how exactly? I have a class a but I'm running a concrete pump for barley 50k a year and it's getting boring

yo bro just stopped in to like say that umm. yea that uhh youre like a fucking idiot. yea thats it

No, you're just incompetent. You'd better get on disability for your retardation.

If a union hall won't hire you, there certainly is some rat outfit that would. Try there.

t: Union Pipefitter

t.AWS shill.

The unions are just another tentacle of the kike menace not a mythical autism sleeper cell

the unions and apprenticeships that matter have massive waiting lists years long. the jobs that are easy to get pay chump change compared to legit work. theres one welding process that only 10 people in the country are certified to do. imagine how much they are paid.

>theres one welding process that only 10 people in the country are certified to do. imagine how much they are paid.

i operated a milling machine for the first time last weekend to make some post production fixes on some units we manufacture at my job

the only thing stopping you from being a successful tradesman is your intelligence, you don't need to be above average intelligence to get into it but being at least average is required

maybe you're just stupid

It was the same in France during middle age (like the people who built cathedrale for exemple), search : Compagnonnage

Skills kept hidden

fuck off boomer

thats literally what the freemasons were back then.

why is this girl wearing socks in the pool?

>The organization dates to medieval times when the Compagnons built the churches and chateaus of France and were persecuted by kings and the Catholic Church because they refused to live under the rules of either institution.
>As a craftsman's guild, the Compagnonnage was banned by the National Assembly under the Le Chapelier Law in 1791, which was repealed in 1864.
>During the German occupation of France during World War II, the Compagnons were persecuted by the Nazi occupiers, who thought they were related to the Freemasons.

i've got 2 guys around 25 years old who recently got hired into our CNC department

K. I’m a teacher and in the last 5 years I have had plenty of students who have gone into trades and double my paycheck and roll better bennies after graduating and doing 2 year trades programs. I push kids into trades over 4 year social justice degrees any day

>literal button pushers operating what is basically a 3D printer in reverse
>machinists

...like?

you can be a mcdonald burger flipper and do better than them. thats a pretty low bar

Trades are easy, it just takes experience and hard (physically) work.
You've been smoking too much weed OP. Trade craft isn't "occult" or hidden knowledge, what you're referring to is a mountain of safety regulations and licenses that you have to go through before you can begin learning your trade and earning money for it.
Occult knowledge in the modern world is things like finance, political and social power etc.

>ho have gone into trades and double my paycheck and roll better bennies
yeah im sure you've asked all of them. lol

sure thing underage faggot go ahead and read the thread.

>You smoked
>Period
You can't have the job, brah. You are already operating 50% below your peers.

Kek

But user does have a point, once you read past the occult shit.

Haven’t asked all, but I got plenty who come back to visit when they’re in town. Don’t worry, I got one who asked me to bail him out from jail too, it’s a fair mix.

they're young adults, they didn't have to enter into some secret cult to get where they are

these fellas also operate in the machine shop with our other machines on top of the automated equipment, they already know how to turn a lathe - being a machinist isn't hard unless you're either a retard or someone who has an inflated sense of their own skill or intelligence, which the ladder i think you're falling into

the point that I'm trying to make is that they're young adults, they didn't have to enter into some secret cult to get where they are, the positions were available and they simply wanted them

>finance
okay heres what i learned:
1.dont go to college. work and save up as much money as you can. buy an apartment building. if youre poor just get a 30 year loan and as low a down payment as possible. yes the interest will fuck you in the ass but you can save and refinance. you can earn as much as a college grad off of just a couple buildings or just one, depending on a whole range if factors.
2:daytrading works and i recommend it. use your free time from landlording to do this all day rather than vidya
3:gold is a must. its not an investment, its to make sure your wealth has more or less the same purchasing power when and if the economy shits the bed.

>girl

That explains why every building I entered in that game looks like it was hit by a warzone.

They aren't automatic anythings as long as there's no receiver.
>Receivers are by law the actual 'firearm'

My friend is an electrician and he just went down to the union and joined up. Don't think he knew any secret hand signs or anything.

Nigger Zoomer wants 30 years of experience in 2 years of trade school.
Fuck off.

>Occult definition is - to shut off from view or exposure : cover, eclipse.

Why is that bad? If everyone knew how to do everything all jobs would pay shit.

Ok, let's say you're correct, the Unions have fucked up the States and encouraged certifications to protect themselves. This is a failure of Socialists, not of Capitalists.
