People rejected capitalism in 1971 when the dollar was depegged from gold.

Capitalism requires capital, and capital must be a limited resource or the supply vs demand aspect of capitalism can't exist...

Why don't we go back to capitalism where having too much of the total supply of capital is undesirable...

capitalism does not need to be completely gotten rid of though. I am sick of this idiocy that we can only have either a capitalist hell hole where the rich own everything and the rest of the people are slaves or a socialist commie nightmare on the level of or worse than the soviet union.

The reality is you need balance. You need a government to regulate things so the environment is not destroyed and people can buy products with some measure of confidence that the milk they just bought isn't just chalk and lead contaminated water.

there needs to be a balance of social welfare as well as allowing a free market. You cannot go too far with either regulation or deregulation. This is the system we currently have but it has been pushed too far in favor of the wealthy and needs to be corrected. Unfortunately most of the politicians on both sides are rich themselves so the common man is really not being represented properly. That is not to say all rich people are evil or callous assholes it simply means they may have great difficulties understanding the people they were elected to represent.

Best way to start fixing it is to get the big money out of politics by not letting non human entities donate to political campaigns. Non humans would be things like corporations or religions, private clubs etc. Likewise a cap would be put on total political spending to like 10k per person every year and you could spread it out how you want. The next step is all meetings with lobbyists with elected officials must be public and recorded with audio video or text. Failure to do this means the lobbyist and elected official get a massive fine and minimum ten years prison time and the loss of all benefits.

Obviously a lot of fine tuning would be needed but you get the idea.

When the petrodollar collapses we will see the glorious rise of the Socialist seizing the wealth of the 90%. The 1%, no one gonna touch that don't kid your self. Don't worry though they need good Socialists for "Information Gatherers", like they have in China.

That chart literally just has one line that is nominal wages and another that is inflation adjusted wages. The chart I posted is JUST inflation adjusted wages. I think you think your chart shows some kind of PPP, but it doesn't. It shows inflation adjusted wages, same as mine.

The reason income in your chart looks flat is probably that it looks at individual production and non-supervisory employees. Which has 2 problems: a) it excludes a lot of workers and b) it misses the fact that since the 1960s, more people rely on incomes from multiple household members (ie more women in the workplace). So household income is a more meaningful measure in terms of peoples' actual quality of life. My chart shows the total household income, which is missing in your chart.
