The issue with placing the agency of censorship on ideology or authority is that it overlooks the censorship and biases that one's own consciousness performs.
Why is it that we are so quick to criticize ideologies and entities that are foreign to us, but take it as an unchallenged axiom that truth is legitimately choosable?
If free will is the ability to choose truth, who is to say any of us are free? Who is to say that anyone has a consciousness pure enough that it allows its user to choose truth with 100% consistency?
In my opinion, it is foolish to think that anyone could approach such a level of consistency. To think otherwise is simply to sustain an exaggerated sense of one's ability to choose truth.
Even the very best among us, scientists, logicians, language experts, musicians, mathematicians of every stripe, inventors and engineers...how many off them could lay claim to having the ability to choose truth?
OP this is a shitty polemic and you need to consider the social implications of encouraging others into purchasing the delusion of free will.
