When you decide you want to be a grownup
You're always going to get mixed answers because there's no one correct answer. It's a matter of opinion.
Most people use drugs their whole adult life, since alcohol is a drug. I still smoke marijuana (& occasionally drop shrooms too) at 34, and don't have any plans to stop. As long as it doesn't interfere with your responsibilities or your health, and you enjoy it, what's the problem?
Depends on when you start. "Party time" is supposed to be a set limit at any age, so you don't destroy your health. If you start early at, say, 15, you should probably stop by 19. If you wait until you're 21, stop at 25. Who the hell still does drugs socially past 25? You've already seen what it does to people; make them stupid and aggressive
Your decision im a party type myself. Usually its like, idk when you mature but that's your decision!
>It makes them stupid and aggressive
Not all drugs do. Alcohol does, cocaine does. Weed doesn't. Also it depends on your consumption habits.
About the age you start asking yourself if you should stop.
Drugs and partying are two different things. You can stop drugs and keep on partying.
When you're out of undergrad or whenever that it is in your country. Friend of mine is 25, partying nightly, doing all sorts of drugs, going to loads of music festivals, and hanging out with like minded people. He's got a good job in finance, but the whole lifestyle seems empty, especially at 25. Then again, he has a hot 21 year old gf, and I'm just a med student with nothing so he's doing something right.
Or vice-versa, you know.
Boom fpbp
>Who the hell still does drugs socially past 25?
Everyone who lives in a major city?
It's normal to stop when you want to stop.
You people really need to stop caring what society wants and expects from you and just your live how you see fit.
Why are you here then...
lol there's no real answer to this question... you can do these things as long as you want, but with age moderation is key.. thats what i believe
to be fair, drugs aren't that normal to begin with, partying... basically
36 years old here.
I smoke weed on occasion and dabble with LSD and Shrooms often.
I also make 100k and have about 400k in savings.
Whoever gives you a timeframe or an age limit for drugs is full of shit. Whether or not you should take drugs depends on who you are as a person and your own individual circumstances.
There are people who can't function responsibly with drugs, and need to be completely clean. Others can smoke a joint in the morning and have a productive day at work. Still others require coke to function in meetings and during presentations.
Most of the time, drugs don't integrate well with responsibilities of work and family, but that's not always the case. You need to decide for yourself by taking an honest assessment of who you are as a person and what the purpose of taking drugs really is.
This is what media and confirmation bias may lead people to believe, but in reality there are far fewer recreational drug users than you think.
When something is illegal, expensive, and unavailable, most people don't seek it out.
The average person has no clue who to ask where they can buy some weed.
its not normal to begin with.
not like that has stopped people in the past, but they usually figure it around 25.
This is a pretty general comment without any substantiation and I think it's pretty irresponsible to just throw it out there in a post.
>In reality there are far fewer recreational drug users than you think.
Per the NSDUH 2016 Survey, the percentage of individuals 18+ who used illicit drugs in the past 30 days was 10.9%. This spikes up to 23.2% of individuals aged 18-25. Nearly 1 in 4 individuals between the age of 18 and 25 have used illicit drugs in the past 30 days. That's a substantial percentage. Lifetime illicit drug usage stands at 56.3% among 18-25 year olds. That means that more than half of young adults and those in their mid-20s have used drugs in their life. 1 in 2.
47% of individuals aged 18 or older have used Marijuana in their lifetime - again, slightly less than 1 in 2. Past 30 day use of weed among those 18-25 stands at 20% - 1 in 5. 15.8% of those aged 18+ have used cocaine in their lifetime.
These are just examples demonstrating that drug use is quite prevalent, and drug users of certain drugs (mainly, marijuana) are actually a majority of individuals in some cases.
>stop doing drugs
asap
>stop partying
never
You don't really believe that, do you? Almost everyone I know smokes weed on a regular basis (regular != daily).
>stop doing drugs
never
>stop partying
asap
Lmao you're retarded
I guess never but you shouldn't be doing it as much as weekly or bi-weekly. Also, if you're not set up to be in a career by 25 stop because you can't handle it.
Just to continue off of this, and to provide substantiation that
did not, there definitely does seem to be a cut off of drug use after age 25:
> Lifetime Marijuana Use:
18-25: 51.8%
26+: 46.2%
> Past Month Marijuana Use:
18-25: 20.8%
26+: 7.2%
> Lifetime Cocaine Use:
18-25: 11.3%
26+: 16.6%
> Past Month Cocaine Use:
18-25: 1.6%
26+: 0.6%
> Lifetime Hallucinogen Use:
18-25: 17.2%
26+: 16.6%
> Past Month Hallucinogen Use:
18-25: 1.9%
26+: 0.3%
I'd like to see how much of the 26+ percentage is brought down by old farts in their 50s and 60s, and what the percentages are for 30 year olds and 40 year olds, but these cuts aren't provided.

Also note that self-reported survey research on drug use tends to be lower than actual, because people hesitate to discuss their own drug usage to strangers in a truthful manner.
I know some people in their 30s and 40s who still occasionally take and MDMA and cocaine. Hell, Huxley toke LSD when he was on his deathbed. There is no age to stop, it's a stupid way to think about this.
The thing is that as you grow older, drugs lose their novelty and the unpleasant comedowns get nastier. I'm only 26 but I don't want to chug cough syrup or mess with unscheduled grey-market drugs or take the risk of having an anxiety attack on mushrooms anymore, like when I was 18. And as you get into your 30s-40s, you take more days to heal from heavy drinking sessions, and become more and more sensible to pot.
It is just about listening to your body, and realizing that drugs don't always have pleasant effects at all times.
>t. alcoholicfag who smoke weed every evening
FPBP.
For most people it's between 25 and 30.
I mean as long as you're a functional adult it doesn't matter at all.
>become more and more sensible to pot.
nope
Depends on the person and their tolerance I guess, but my mom's joints nowadays are roughly 98.2% tobacco (mixing tobacco and weed is standard in Europe) and it still get her pretty high.
