Jobs are a (((((((meme))))))))

Explain this to me Jow Forums.
1) 3274 million people who have jobs in the world.
2) 866 million are in agriculture.
3) That's fucking less than 12% of the world making food for everyone.

Shut up, commie

>Shut up, commie
>Truth hurts.
Stay mad cunt.

im a carpenter/glazier that specializes in antique windows
i get rich yuppies to overpay me for easy af work
the other day i got 950 to replace 1 window and replace a few window pullies

In western countries it's less than 2% gladly.

>when the commie doesn't deny being a commie
I don't think the truth hurt you.

Most jobs globally are services and most people don't work. kek.

>I con the conmen.
Good for you user.

jewish settlement in middle east

>What the fuck is everyone working for?

so you can post on Jow Forums.

That still doesn't address the fact that most jobs are now memes. Why the fuck are we working when people are already there growing food for us?

>when the commie doesn't deny being a commie
>Thinks that calling me a commie will hurt my fee fee.
Yeah, I didn't think you had any argument either.

and niggers
how do you think you get 1bln hungry niggers in africa? you start feeding 200 mln hungry niggers in africa

>look at all these plebs who don't sip sweet tea on the plantation and whip the niggers for fun when they don't bring the food on time
huh

Kek.
>huh
Yeah, I'm not a commie.

It's true. Who the hell do you think designs and builds all the bullshit that goes on just to make a regular old landline telephone work, let alone your stupid fucking smart phone that's all there just to hook you into the communist satanic death cult of transhumanism?

Why do you think you even have electricity or a warm place to sleep so you can piss around on Jow Forums?

Fair.

Fair my ass. I'll tell you what: it's me. I'm one of many guys who has to figure out how Yahoo's next AI waifu is supposed to work for all the big thinkers who don't really understand how to pull off their big ideas.

Think if you get an email in the middle of the night from your cron job that one of your servers just fucked off the network and now you're the one who has to drive down to the server room to rehabilitate it that the staff there would even know where to find a screwdriver or a soldering iron if you didn't bring your own? Not the night shift. They'll just look at you funny if you explain it's right there on the table of things you're technically not supposed to touch because your name has the wrong settings in the fucking database.

God damn. At least when I'm growing food in my garden the world actually makes sense for once.

I know I have a meme job, but I have nothing else in life to support me...

Sometimes I think about dropping out of the system and schleping away with you in comfy misery. Can you get me a job there?

>At least when I'm growing food in my garden the world actually makes sense for once.
That's the only purpose of life anyway user. The pattern common to all life is to be born, to survive, to try and reproduce and then die. So finding and consuming food is our evolutionary drive. Everything else is just a distraction.

I'm not running a self-sustaining hobby farm over here. I don't sort my own seeds, so the entire infrastructure right down to who can manufacture a bolt to hold a meter on the side of the refinery that makes the gas that fuels the truck that delivers the seeds to me. And how's that going to work without payment processing and a whole store where I can drive down to and get them while they're in stock? Or, gosh, what if I have so much money I can use this entire internet thing to order them and have somebody deliver them to my door. Can't do that without the cable guy to turn my internet on and use his phone to download new firmware into the router to make it work.

The world is not that simple. Not unless you want to live like Africans who never decided to find out what was across the ocean. And that's not a bad way to live, but it's not the world you're living in right now.

Absolutely, as if you show up to work and are willing to do so, you will have no issues, get the rules, and get to living that bi-weekly paycheck life.

So let's say you want a bit of food. The food that the farmer is producing is pretty much useless to you, why? Because the food is at their farm, and you aren't at their farm so you can't eat it.
Ok, so you need someone to get the food from the farm to you. Usually this is done by truck. Now you need people to both develop and manufacture everything that's part of a truck. You also need some people to extract the materials to make the truck, some to refine them and also transport them. Most things are transported partly by boat, so now you need people to develop and build boats. You also need someone to build and maintain the roads, bridges etc. Every vehicle needs to be fueled, so someone needs to get that oil, someone needs to refine it and a bunch of people need to make efficient ways of doing all of that.
You're not just gonna walk up to a truck and get your food though, you're either gonna buy it as groceries or prepared. In the case of both you need someone to buy the food from the farmers, and then store it somewhere until you can buy it. This ofc means you need someone to build the building where that's done, someone to design it, someone to make materials, someone to develop better ways of doing it etc.
You're not gonna buy the food unless you know it exists, so now someone needs to advertise it/the store. Ofc there has to be people who educate all these people too...
It just goes on and on. The fact that so comparatively few people need to work in agriculture is the entire reason why we have a civilisation to begin with, because it allows people to specialise and become really good at things not related to agriculture, which is how you get progress.

>all these in-store prices
dude you're going to make Trudeau have to pull Canada's internet kill switch

>I'm not running a self-sustaining hobby farm over here.
Good for you user.
>I don't sort my own seeds.....
Humans have survived and thrived well before advanced tech was in everyday life. It's not necessary for us to have all this tech. We'll live even if all the tech we have today was lost. The only difference is that we'll be in huts rather than big houses.
>The world is not that simple.
It is, if you're ready to put in the hours needed to understand it.

>Not unless you want to live like Africans who never decided to find out what was across the ocean.
And that's all there is to it, isn't it. Not because there's any value in jobs. We do what we do because we don't want to live like Africans. Not because we can't live like them.

Fuck me. How did your ancestors survive without all modern amenities?

Hope you had a good holidays, break room user

Have you ever farmed? One side of my family was farmers. You might not know how much technology and craftsmanship goes in to even doing it like it was done 100 years ago. It still requires all that shit, especially if you want to make enough money to keep the operation afloat.

>Have you ever farmed?
Never farmed. No. Family owned a few acres of farming land before they sold it off.
>You might not know how much technology and craftsmanship goes in to even doing it like it was done 100 years ago.
I don't disagree user. I've researched on the history of human civilizations, and you're right. Since the Mesopotamian civilization, humans have used some pretty wicked techniques to farm. No doubt about it. My point though was all this complexity no longer has any purpose. It used to be meaningful at a certain stage in human evolution. Not anymore.
>It still requires all that shit, especially if you want to make enough money to keep the operation afloat.
I know. That's why my granddad sold it off. He barely made any profits every year, but kept going because he helped the community. Dad and uncle found jobs in the city, and with no one to carry on the family's business, grandad thought it was the right time to sell the farm.

There aren't 800 million people working in farms.

That's bullshit.

>There aren't 800 million people working in farms.
>That's bullshit.
You think there's more than 800 million? Or less?

If you want to larp like that guy from Australia who built his own house you go right ahead.

Normal people would rather have, like, paper to write things down on and maybe a carpet in the house for when they invite family over for Christmas, assuming they don't freeze to death on the way over because they're wearing caveman clothing and if one of them slips on the ice and mud they're good as dead because the doctor won't be making house calls again until after the holidays.

Or you could have like somebody from the iron age who can build a hoe for you. Forget about all the other equipment, or how you're going to build a barn.

In a big farm work like 100 people.

It's impossible 50 million people employed by farmers, let alone 800 million.

it's almost like
TECHNOLOGY HAS DEVELOPED TO ALLOW THIS
fucking retard. an hero before someone else helps you

>If you want to larp like that guy from Australia who built his own house you go right ahead.
Kek. No, that fucker is good. Probably autistic too since he goes off alone into the woods over the weekend and films himself all alone in the woods.
Common user. Our ancestors didn't all freeze and die. Besides, Indians lived in the U.S. and Canada for many centuries before European settlers came. They didn't have advanced tech. Pretty much slept on the ground.
>Or you could have like somebody from the iron age who can build a hoe for you.
Kek. Biological hoes don't cut it for you?
>Forget about all the other equipment, or how you're going to build a barn.
Barns have been around since the Egyptian civilization user. Barn tech is pretty old.

>It's impossible 50 million people employed by farmers, let alone 800 million.
That stat is for the whole world user. That's less than 12% of the world population engaged in agriculture.

Stop denying that communism is actually working, look at China its communism done right while captalism is slowly falling for example look at Canada

they build houses, make your iphone and serve you pumpkin spice latte you commie
go kill yourself ungrateful cunt

Yeah, ever been to an Indian reservation in recent history? Great sales pitch you got there.

Neither one is communist and we don't live under capitalist. You god damned moron. You should have your tongue cut out for repeating a slogan that stupid.

And let me put you to a challenge here. Go live in a commune if you like communism so much. Go find out how well it works in practice.

Or why don't you just try taking half a dozen smelly college friends to share a rental house with and then keep the place going. Share property. Share food costs. Try finding out most of them are overgrown children who couldn't make it alone and now you're working triple overtime trying to invent the infrastructure necessary just to keep the bills being paid (because you're the one with the damn job) and solving all the ridiculous endless drama. Yeah, so much fun when the neighbor calls in the middle of the night and you're the only one to pick up the damn phone so you can hear what the fuck your housemates just did to wake him up in the middle of the night again.

You'll probably find out about how many people are out there doing work when you need to get the place back in order before the landlord finds out. Try it.

>Yeah, ever been to an Indian reservation in recent history?
Strawman user. I said Indians survived for many centuries before Europeans came.

It's not a strawman. I'm serious. Go to an Indian reservation. Do you want to live like that or do you want to live like the European civilization provides.

You're free to go do it if you want. Sometimes people who qualify and who are disabled and can't work shuffle off to one because that's a reasonable way to survive. And other people live off in the middle of Arizona in a busted RV or something because that's yet another way they can get by. It's a free country. You can live that way if you need to or want to.

>Do you want to live like that or do you want to live like the European civilization provides.
I think you're confusing military superiority with the ability to survive. I'm saying Indians survived in America for many centuries without much technology. You're saying Europeans wiped out the Indians. I'm not arguing with the military prowess of our ancestors.
>You're free to go do it if you want.
Yeah, but I'm white. I have no idea how to live like an Indian on a reservation.
>It's a free country.
You're joking. user, I've been raised in a white family that came to America in the 1700s. I know my culture. I don't know anyone else's culture. I was raised a certain way and I live according to what I was taught.
>You can live that way if you need to or want to.
Well I'm 45. I can't start living like an Indian after being German-Swedish American for 45 years now can I?

>military superiority
It's technological superiority. It's why the British Empire got as big as it did, because they were the first to come up with industry, agriculture, maritime dominance, the military ability to dominate and defend, health, the ability to orchestrate all the extensive logistics that underly it (your "jobs")

There are plenty of places in the country where white folk can live off the land or join a commune of sorts. You could even get a cushy government job as a park ranger (although not during the shut down lol). I don't care if you're 45. Good for you. I'm not far behind and I'm looking ahead to having to take care of the old people in my family. What are you doing at 45 reciting absurd and anti-historical slogans more fitting for dumbass college thots?

You deserve to be screencapped.
If somebody does put me in as well.
As for You, please replace Korwin in shitposting IRL after he deads.

>It's technological superiority.
Fair.
>It's why the British Empire got as big as it did, because they were the first to come up with industry, agriculture, maritime dominance, the military ability to dominate and defend, health, the ability to orchestrate all the extensive logistics that underly it (your "jobs")
Easy user. Scrutinize the history of the British Empire. The British didn't go up against armies and win. They often fought weakened kingdoms just after a war and that's how they conquered most of Asia. They're not as great as you think.
>That's why they fell so easily after WW2.

>I'm not far behind and I'm looking ahead to having to take care of the old people in my family.
Good for you user.
> What are you doing at 45 reciting absurd and anti-historical slogans more fitting for dumbass college thots?
Can't a man just express his opinions without being called names on this board? That's all I'm doing. To each his own. I had an opinion and I thought I'd share it. I don't expect people to quit their jobs and go live in the woods. Not going to happen. But I think it's good to know about these things.

>They often fought weakened kingdoms just after a war and that's how they conquered most of Asia. They're not as great as you think.
And those that weren't weak enough were subjugated by superior technology, such as in the case of China and India. I just literally told you it was technological superiority, not military. Who's going to figure that out? The guy who trims your hedges? Oh, that's right, you don't think people should have jobs.

Read, "Tragedy and Hope" by Carrol Quigley. It's a big book, but somebody had to write it, somebody had to have a printing press, and somebody had to have a way to learn how to read and right and then buy a copy (or have free starbucks wifi to download an online version).

Tragedy and Hope will also explain the international finance structures in play that resulted in a period of US dominance after the Breton Woods system and joking everybody into letting us hold all their gold. You really have a lot of learning to do. And if you're 45 you should have gotten over getting called names about 40 years ago, mouth-breathing turd-eater.

Gotta move those numbers around op :'D

>And those that weren't weak enough were subjugated by superior technology, such as in the case of China and India.
China and India are the countries I was referring to.
>I just literally told you it was technological superiority, not military.
I don't disagree. But strategy played a huge role in British victory. They're a small island. They never had the numbers. Their main tactic in India and China was to conquer weakened kingdoms and get the kings to obey their command.
> Who's going to figure that out? The guy who trims your hedges? Oh, that's right, you don't think people should have jobs.
Common user. This is a strawman. I said most jobs don't have value. I didn't say that people should not have jobs.
>explain the international finance structures in play that resulted in a period of US dominance after the Breton Woods system
We force OPEC to price and sell oil in dollars forcing everyone to trade with us for the aforementioned dollars to buy oil. I don't need to read a book to figure out why we run trade deficits in every sector of the economy (except agro and petroleum) and still live a lavish lifestyle.
>Pic related.

>And if you're 45 you should have gotten over getting called names about 40 years ago, mouth-breathing turd-eater.
Sigh. "When the debate is lost, slander becomes the weapon of the loser" - Socrates.

Attached: usTradeDeficits.png (1547x973, 110K)

It's a small island and it managed to feed itself on top of all that. The Irish potato famine was engineered genocide by the English, not a failure to be able to raise crops.

The petrodollar is over btw. You surely must be new to Jow Forums if you missed the part where we tried to fuck Russia by tanking oil and then Saudi Arabia tried to fuck us by tanking it back but then we pulled the next card and cranked up the fracking to fuck everybody right back. If you want to complain about oil, complain about the ecological impacts of fracking or whether or not it's financially viable.

And if you think that's slander, it's not even libel. The British also had one of the most advanced and effective legal systems, which is additionally necessary to the function of civlization that wants to climb out of the Stone Age, regardless of how many Jew lawyers there are to hang. You will recall that the Native Americans were roughly Stone Age nomads on the whole. They weren't entirely your best pick for agricultural specialists.
