If they pulled this off, how would America react to China taking the lead position in space flight? Would the US Congress release funds to compete with China to get to Mars first?
China has pledged to land humans on the Moon by 2030
>lead position in space flight
>doing something that has been done tens of times before
>not creating innovations
why even talk about it
America was leading space from 1967 to 1986, then they lost their edge.
When they finally pull it off, Americans will cheerfully welcome China into the mid-20th century.
As long as space niggers and space jews are not allowed there, I see no issue with this.
>then they lost their edge
then Title IX happened, and other progress
Why would you go to mars.
Venus is better.
It's got the gravity.
>You won't die from muscle and bone mass lost.
It's got the radiation shielding
>You won't die from UV rays
It's got everything that can be made in the atmosphere including super strong carbon materials and has water along with air.
Why does he look so sad.
I can't wait to see videos on here with Chinese astronauts dying from random, final destination tier deaths in space
Venus has to be “preprepared” before starting a colony there. Would take 50 to 80 years to terraform it enough for a landing and colony. Then, of course, it would be a real choice for a long term colony.
10 years would be the proper timescale if you wanted a land colony.
As realistic Venus colony would be balloons and they would be using an abundant resource to expand those colony's that could be built with the ship that first goes there.
>China has pledged to land humans on the Moon by 2030
so what? already been done, 40 years ago!
you do realise the moon doesnt actually exist right? Imagine being this /unwoke/ baka
To land on Venus and have a colony there requires us to cool Venus down. The only way to do so is by removing energy intake from the source of energy bombarding Venus... the sun. We can do this by shading Venus through sun deflectors / sun shades. But it takes time for Venus to cool.
China does many things right, but their space program is a mistake, I believe. It's some prestige and no utility, unless we're talking about orbital flight.
Nonetheless, it would be cool if they landed in the vicinity of American landing, and took pictures of its' traces.
>doing something that has been done tens of times before
Wait, what. There have been 10 missions where people landed on the moon?
Space colonisation boys are fools. Not only it's unfeasible with existing technologies in propulsion and materials, we barely tapped the living space of earth. Colonizing the Ocean or the Deserts would be hundreds of times easier than some rock in space.
China has mapped and landed on the dark side of the moon just now. That hasn't been done.
Dude, Read up on the topic.
He's the only person in the room actually working.
I don't really care what the Chinese do. I just want this to start another space race for the US. We only went to the moon because of the Soviet Union, but since they collapsed we've had no political reason to pursue space initiatives. Hopefully that changes soon. Honestly, I don't even care if they faked it. We should should still go with it and use it as an excuse.
No, because there is no competition. Engineering or economic triumph of China won't result in meltdown of political landscape in America. Thus, there is no reason for powers that be to pay it any heed.
We unironically have the best asian space program.
>inb4 npc tier insults.
>2019
>There are still some who believe we've landed on the moon
SCATSAT-1, launched from the SHART rocket launch centre in 2016 was, indeed, impressive and ambitious project.
>literally basic bitch poo in loo baitposting and expecting anything other than literally basic bitch poo in loo replies
But superpower by 362 days from now, amirite fellow pooposters?
They should land on the moon where the Apollo site was supposed to be and then ask why they can't see any trace of the US visiting
so did USA and Russia. Also Russia and EU plan joint colony on Moon
All I ask is that China puts a visible marker on the moon so people can see it from Earth with limited magnification. There are several ways to do this.
The 100% nigger team landing a nigger on the moon would be something to see.
>first
they would probably miss entirely and go floating away to crash into uranus
Thank you we recently launched our heaviest rocket pslv-c43. (All thanks to you guys actually collaborating with us in our developing stages)
I'd argue that we should just lie about the danger of China. I predict that all we need is one more space race and then the private sector will have all the necessary infrastructure/resources to continue on their own at that point. Once space mining becomes economically viable then the private sector will continue development on their own which is what we need.
>tens of times
>manned moonlanding
Refusing to poo in the loo is not an innovation Pajeet
