Just imagine how much more we would be winning without this probe. I'm not sure if they will drag it out for an October surprise before the election, or try to just keep it going until after the election because it's a big nothingburger.

The investigation is nothing more than a "check & balance" of the unchanging government, our federal LE agencies, on our Executive Branch. It was intended to remain a legal excuse to keep the administration under watchful eyes because no sitting president has ever fired an FBI director. It's just some long-standing good 'ol boys club unwritten rule that Hoover created when he created the agency. TL;DR is that the former FBI leadership was and is butthurt. Mueller is part of that club.

Mueller’s “investigation” has to continue until there is a Democrat in the White House or there is a 63+ Dem Senate majority. The intelligence community and Justice Department were very naughty in 2016. A lot of people broke the law and/or abused their authority to please Madam Never-the-President and they cannot let the truth out. Horowitz’s IG report wasn’t well received so they’ve doubled down on absolutely nothing seeing the light of day and that means Mueller has to drag this out further. Six months is nothing, it’ll be another 2 years at least if not 6.

The real purpose of the Mueller investigation is to precedent the executive under constant threat and attack by the other branches of government, in an effort to reduce his power. Similarly Rome didn't like Caesar, but really their goal was to never allow the executive to be powerful like him ever again. The same here. By taking away his ability to pardon his family, the other branches of government can threaten his family as a way to control the executive, as well.

Bill Clinton wasn’t impeached for having sexual relations, he was impeached for lying under-oath. The whole Russian collusion bull-shit of a probe was started under false pretexts.
