True, but that time is over. Look at it as of it was the American revolution, sure maybe back then being under the rule of the crown was alright, but once they realized the continuation of that system was detrimental to them, they rejexted it outright. They didnt say "Make the crown great again" they said "fuck the crown, and fuck everything it stood for, were not englishmen, nor will we ever be again". Though they kept some aspects of it, their identity was fully their own, they didnt rely on the previous honors and victories of England, they dismissed them in favor of their futures.
