EU hates Bulgaria already because they don’t comply with anything. If they were to piss on these long term efforts to come to a solution for the Macedonian naming dispute, EU will be mad and fuck you over somehow.

you can't keep an eu citizen out of an eu country but what the germans did in airports is harassment enough

France has taken over our ENTIRE wine sector, Bulgarian wine was a significant chunk of our agriculture (like 15-20%) and exports numbered in the hundreds of millions, we were kings of several big markets and of course our own. 3 years after joining the EU, 98% of all wine producers in Bulgaria went bankrupt after France, for 3 years, sold their wines at 10% of their actual cost. Finland took over our ENTIRE wood and wood goods marketplace and we're a country of mountains and forests, because Finland and the EU have a deal where Finland doesn't make much noise and it gets monopoly over wood. Austria bought out a lot of our supermarkets and keeps its taxes in Austria, while declaring a loss to Bulgaria, keeping all their profits away from the country. Belgium and the Netherlands bought out thousands of small/medium businesses including our biggest water producer, 3 of our biggest banks and MUCH more, then take most of their profits abroad.

I can't be bothered to keep going, the examples are millions.
