Not necessarily I have 2 poor fat neighbors with above average gfs. Where as I'm in decent shape make alot of money and drive a decent car (new if not fancy) I don't get too many dates. I hate to use the old cliche but it's really all about confidence. When I get into my "invincible" mode I kill it with women. Confidence and numbers is what it's really all about. The more time you spend around women and hitting on women the better off you'll be. I can only keep up confidence for so long so I usually burn out around the 3rd date.

Fat guy here. I can confirm to you that if you're going to go after actually attractive women (not the painfully average ones adv likes to rate as 8 or 9s) then you're going to have to be not fat. The thing that did it for me was realizing that in my current state there was no benefit for a girl to date me, and therefore no reason for a girl to want to date me. I then realised that I thought getting a gf would make me happy, when really it just would have given me someone to talk to about all the things in life I was unhappy about. So I focused on making my life happy without a gf, and lo and behold I now have a gf.
