It's just a guess, but aren't Austrians more genetically homogenous than Germans?..
Joseph Walker
Yes, they are descendants of a very small group of Bavarians.
Jackson Moore
Possible but say it depends on the region. Now aside from some peculiar regions in Tyrolean mountains it is mostly a higher amount of second wave steppe migration (either ancient or by later influx via Slavs) that defines us. Think there is also a minor contribution by Balto-Scandi ("Nordic") elements via Bohemians (it is a gradient running from Baltics straight through Eastern Germany and Czech Republic down to the Danube) ... though I say it is sometimes hard to discern that from the Balkans Paleolithic refugia influx (see that a lot in the South).
tl;Dr: Austrians are mutts, Germans moreso...and Americans are pure mongrels.

Germans don't try to play Go- >I like systems that do somehow self-regulate. I don't like details, my thought processes are simply too messy for that. Love my equilibria instead. Rather throw rough ideas at the wall and see which stick. Playing God is not clockwork, it is about setting broad parameters and constraints and then seeing how all those little ants scramble towards their salvation and/or doom. Now the art is to not fuck up when predicting the rough outcome. I'm beginning to think that Germans deserve the devil..
Thomas Wood
It's almost like Germans tried to play god, and got smited for Jews for trying..

Broadly applicable to all of Eurasia. Just different ratios of Paleolithic HG, Neolithic farmer of all flavors and steppe ancestry (again mostly just a HG melange) ... interesting split was branching of Main/Basal Eurasian ... I think you can spot the difference (also, they were on separate trajectory for quite a while with different adaptive strategies).
>Pleased to meet you, hope you guess my name :3 Those who need to know, do. Plus it's wrong to put too much importance on a single individual- it's ideas which can move men, not men.
Liam Myers
Pic related looks like the average American's family tree.
Adrian Campbell
Indeed. An individual may be a mere catalyst for (though the individual may differ from its own perspective). Now one could say that 'exceptional men' are mostly interchangeable ... the overarching system creates a situation prone to a certain outcome which may then be triggered by a more or less big set of individuals with applicable skills/knowledge/opportunity.
Kek, yes it does! :D Now after Bronze age it gets really nasty. Told you yesterday, an ugly mess. In the end it does not say that much on its own, you have to 'see' the selective pressures acting on those populations, preserving and/or eradicating crucial genetic substrata. Lifestyle shift can have quite an impact.
> one could say that 'exceptional men' are mostly interchangeable ... the overarching system creates a situation prone to a certain outcome which may then be triggered by a more or less big set of individuals with applicable skills/knowledge/opportunity.
While the system encourages certain outcomes, the men of greatness are still rare- by definition. These men are the greatest minds hoisted by the greatest civilizations.
Parker Myers
... and due to their rarity and at the same time high impact on a culture's trajectory a small change in their 'rate of occurence' may make all the difference. I'd also say their broad archetype matters as it affects the outcome of certain 'switch events'.
Culture is accelerated genetics- religion is accelerated culture- while Khan could influence millions by his DNA, one man, though ideas, can influence the entire world based on a thought.
But when people naively ignore your idea, is it not acceptable to call your idea a religion?
Gavin Bennett
Yes, and that is the beautiful thing about it. Ideas transcend the simple arithmetics of bloodline. Still, bloodline resonates with ideas ... a certain heritage (due to behavioural neurobiology) will on average favor certain ideas. Now of course you could always suppress ideas but it is energy-consuming and unless you manage to couple it to a new set of selectors which skew the parameters of heritable preference the system will (sometimes violently) return into its equilibrium. Outlines of the geno-cultural feedback. Now I ask myself, where do I roll up those of ideas, the spawners of myth. With the priests? Not sure about that, maybe they are a tertiary archetype, the priests are only transmitters.
Religion, myth ... in the end they are just media to transport a 'pure' idea in a manner digestable to the cattle (and at worst they were never 'designed' to be transported that way and the core meaning is perverted/lost in translation ... worst case scenario for the visionary). This is were you NEED myth. It is the operator's manual for the complex cognitive machinery one has created. Now depending on its style a smart operator may understand the inner workings of the machine with time and maybe play with the parameters ... I prefer myths that allow for that kind of tinkering.
You're right that priests aren't similar to those of ideas- who exist on the cusp of understanding- who draw maps that connect phenomena that everyone already observes, but doesn't know the meaning of.
Oliver Thomas
Here is Hayek on rules we cannot understand:
"The resistance against being guided by something that is unintelligible to them is, I think, quite understandable in an intellectual. Go back to the origin of it all: Descartes of course explicitly argued only that we should not believe anything which we did not understand. But his followers immediately applied it to we should not accept any rules which we did not understand. And the intellectual has very strongly feeling that what is not comprehensible must be nonsense. And to him the rules he's required to obey are unintelligible and therefore nonsense. He defines rational almost as intelligible, and anything which is not intelligible to him is automatically irrational, and he's opposed to it."
Connor Scott
Hayek was a Jew. Not that it's a bad thing.

Let us call them architects then. Back to my rather simple model ... both priests and warriors MAY be architects but the architect per se does not require the stratification that priests and warriors (with different methods and for different means) impose on the masses. I feel we are getting closer to something here ... I say most architects are more of the 'heart' of the cattle than anything else ... they are dreamers (and they feel compelled to share their dreams), they understand but do not act according to their understanding. A few are more ambitious and offer their services as 'mercenaries' to the priests and warriors. A very few are shapers and sheperds of the cattle themselves, they have grim dreams and a burning desire to impose ... but compared to their other power-hungry 'brethen at heart' they do not require to 'steal' ideas (and if they do they mercilessly pick them apart and reassemble them again to their own likings).
>And the intellectual has very strongly feeling that what is not comprehensible must be nonsense.
Me in a nutshell. Now uncomprehensible to me means either 'bullshit' or 'failure to translate' ... some ideas lack the elegance to be transported without a convoluted background addendum. Aside, I can under certain circumstances accept rules I do not understand ... if a) the source of the rules has proven by merit a high probability of correct judgement (every theory is only as worthy as its predictions), b) there is no time to intellectually pick apart the idea aside from maybe a quick cursory glance and c) allows for a certain wiggle room of adaptive flexibility (see Auftragstaktik, discussed this a lot with an ex-army officer recently). But ok, that is mostly the practical application of rules and ideas, not in the theoretical realm of endless possible interwoven thought threads.
Your model seems: priests = intellectuals warriors = politicians architects = geniuses (While intellectuals may be geniuses if measured by IQ, I object to the importance of IQ in developing new ideas. And I disagree that high IQs are sufficient in the parking of a genius- as I don't consider computers (nor many intellectuals) capable of genius). cattle = mass of populace
If you'd agree, then I can agree to your model. And I posture that the importance of the priests/warriors is providing credibility to the inanity of the architects.
Lucas Reyes
> >>And the intellectual has very strongly feeling that what is not comprehensible must be nonsense.
>I can under certain circumstances accept rules I do not understand Yes, we all do- this is similar to discrimination- using heuristics to make judgements based on incomplete data. What is important is to remember our assumptions AND be open to changing them. >Auftragstaktik This is simply increasing the efficiency by means of specialization- a Commander cannot observe every part of war- but he can observe his subordinates. Very similar to Central planning vs market systems.
Anthony Williams
Very much what I intended, yes. And the dreams of the geniuses are usually perverted to a certain extend by the different desires of priests and warriors ... the priests desire to further their 'harmonious' groupthink while the warriors desire to justify their competitive aggression (in the end both ways lead to violent suppression of competing creeds and are in the end just means to entrench the leadership position of both). The next question would be then: why do the architects act so impotently in this epic tale?
... and the only reason why the Wehrmacht could act so successfully until attrition and failure in grand strategy took them down. Wolfpack mentality. Now this is what I consider closer to the 'warrior' archetype, this is also why I prefer it over the priest's approach of strict constraints even if it is inherently more robust to perturbations. It is what I am at heart, a hunter, a man driven by the imperative to stalk and kill (figuratively as our society does not allow for a more ... natural approach). But I recently came to admire some of the methods of the priests after analyzing them ... the word is a beautiful and subtle dagger ... or a blunt and crushing hammer.

Possible, yes. If you rely too much on it it may spin out of control ... your predictions veer away from 'reality' but may still prove useful as society is kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy (until the momentum of the train is abruptly negated by a fixed object). The advantage still is the momentum ... ignorance is strength, albeit temporary.
Honestly, national geographic boundaries don't specify one's exact ancestry in central Europe: Austrians are pretty much German.
>we'll be Hitler Nah, your country is far more cucked than ever before- hate speech laws- locking up lawyers who adovcate for Holocaust deniers?...toppest of keks

>> we'll be Hitler
I never implied that. Traditionally, being Hitler is the Eternal Austrian's role :-)
> Nah, your country is far more cucked than ever before
His country isn't. Ze Germans have that whole Schuldkult thing going, true. In Austria it's ...different.
Gavin Jenkins
Why can't you sleep? Have you tried those taking PM medicine?
Austin Gutierrez
Yes, Austria must be monitored closely...such a small country with too large an impact...too agile...wish Austria's welfare was comparable to Germany's...just a few hundred thousand browns would neutralize Austria.
Adam Hill
You cannot contain the madness of alpine endogamy and megalomanic dreams of a once glorious past. We are the beating heart of Europe ... always been. My ambitions? Don't worry, I am a reasonable man. Not blind to the mistakes of the past, not blind to my own. Ruthless nevertheless but with a friendly shark grin and a dose of humble self-critique. ;)
Anthony Gutierrez
Its a mix of me getting used to smoking a joint in the evening, which Im trying to stop again since lectures started again today, and some psychological shit. Neither of which will go away with more sleeping medicine so I usually just power through until I collapse in my bed and sleep for a few hours... Semester finals are coming up anyway so if Id have a healthy sleep cycle now itd get fucked by all night learning and modafinil anyways. Looking forward to after the finals desu. Just wanna do some woodworking in my basement and relax...

The fact that you don't care about grammar and order just shows how little you understand about NS-ideology and german ethics, you disgusting larper. I can forgive a forgotten apostrophe or a misstyped word, but adding an apostrophe where none was needed? Unforgiveable.
